Hi, Hand Analysis The call is fine pre-flop as you are getting a decent price to call and see the flop. Post flop with so many players involved in the pot we can be fairly certain that a flop texture like that will hit a range of Qx AQ KQ OJ OT and 8x A8s K8s J8s 98s...so I'd prefer check calling depending on the villains bet sizing as our overall equity is about 20%... Given the nature of the small ball betting approach it appears that these bet's are for information, but from a fundamental standpoint that is flawed thinking and approach..generally we bet for "value" and as a "bluff"..a general rule of thumb should be 1/2, 2/3 and 3/4 pot size bet for value and/or bluff depending on board texture and perceived villain hand ranges based on previously played hands. The turn should be somewhat of a scare card for us as we do not know if we got floated by a range of Ax with a better kicker, but none the less we can check/call for minor pot control or bet 1/2 pot to get value from Qx or worse flush draw combos. The river is super standard! Get it in! The stack to pot ratio is perfect! Nice pot and nice hand! Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

                Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                Best of Luck!

                  Answer to the video question.

Player may want to bet big for this three reasons:
To protect his hand against strong draws.
To increase pot limit when he is sure that he has very strong hand.
And to put pressure on other players.

Right have a question now: Lets say: I have K and Q harts, on board i have J and 5 Hearts, 10 spades and 2 clubs.
So i have flush draw with nine cards in the deck and two way strait draw witch is another 8 cards we take down A and 9 of hearts so I have 15 outs that can make my hand. How come in one of the articles in cash course they say that i have only 13 outs?

                      Im a bit confused now...

                      Thank for the answer...

Hi, If the river dealt the or pairing the board, that would mean a potential full house is present making our flush vulnerable to being beat, now we just took those two outs and discounted them to make 13outs.umbup: Hand Analysis We have a 40bb stack depth which doesn't allow for much post flop maneuverability in terms of calling 3bets, betting ..etc.. even though we will be at a positional advantage post flop how does our hand fair up against Kx with a better kicker K7 K8 K9 KT KJ KQ KA .. from an equity stand point we will (depending on board texture) be a significantly behind. I would have folded this hand pre-flop as it just doesn't flop to well and rarely ever will I feel comfortable betting this hand for value unless I had specific reads on each of the villains. Post flop, I like the flop raise, anywhere from 18 to 24c is okay, our hand is vulernable to a several turn cards that hurt our course of action (likely the villain too), so we mind aswell get the value now on the flop! On the turn the stack to pot ratio is nice, this is a spot to nearly get our stack in! Hope this helps. Please take let me know when you have passed the Cash Game Course and we'll awarded you with your next Bank Roll Builder buy-in! Kind regards, CannonLee
