Hi dosaa7! With AK from mid position and 2 limpers in front of me, I will make a standard raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper. Due to this, I will raise to 50 (5BB). I want to keep all of my bets and raises standard in order to conceal the strength of my hand. Players that bet more with better hands and less with marginal ones are basically turning their cards face-up to their opponents, which is something that I want to aviod. I miss the flop and when it checks to me, I can go about this two ways. With five opps, I can check and hope to see a free turn card (which I'll do probably about 30-40% of the time). The other 60-70% of the time, I will make a c-bet here and due to the number of opps, I need to size my bet at the size of the pot... BUT... I don't have this many chips, so I'll need to shove the flop. I miss the turn and check again. Now, there is a bet and a call of 150. The question now is, should I call. If I call, I need to put 150 into a pot that will be 880 (17%). From the rule of 4 and 2, my six outs (if the opp has a J) are worth 2% equity each, so my hand has 12% equity. Since my pot equity is higher than my hand equity, I need to fold to this bet. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! Raiser umbup:

Hi dosaa7! First hand This hand is very weak. I strongly recommend folding this 100% preflop. It is not strong enough to play and not strong enough to try to steal the blinds with. Note, you were trying to bluff steal in a spot where you needed to get through three players and both blinds have deep stacks. This as a low chance of succeeding. As played, you tried to steal but got called and completely missed the flop. Don't make matters worse. Just check fold the rest of the hand. Check - raising the turn as you did is an extremely expensive bluff. I'm glad you folded to the 3-bet though. I strongly recommend sticking to straight forward play at 2NL. Bet your strong made hands and fold your weak hands. You can't win every hand and fancy play like this results in big losses more often than big wins. Second hand Your huge all in raise created a situation in which you value owned yourself! This is a very important concept to understand. AQ is often a strong enough hand to 3-bet with. However, a standard 3-bet is 3x the original raise. Make it 18 cents rather than shoving for your whole 66 cent stack. All the hands in the villain's range that you are beating, especially weaker aces will usually fold to such a large raise. This means you WIN LESS money than you could have with your winning hands. The only hands likely to call your raise are the hands that are beating you. This means you LOSE MORE when you are behind. We want to be doing the opposite winning big and losing small As I mentioned with the first hand. Try to focus on the fundamentals. Both of these hands are big losses in spots that your actions created and that could have been avoided. Work on playing solid poker and the wins will start coming GL and have fun at the tables! Once we anlayse them for you we will continue on from there Remember that this is a cash game promotion only so SnG's or any other game other than $0.01/$0.02 cent cash games won't count.
