Hi, I dont know if i got the link for the hand replayer correct, but here goes. I just want to ask, if on the river was 10 Diamonds instead of 9 Diamonds, should i go all in with a straights and take on the villian's bet? I suspects that he only has 1 pair or 2 pairs and not a flush draw. Thanks Bryan

Hi Bryan In this hand you should fold on the turn. The only good cards for you are the 3 non-diamond 10s. Even if we include the 10 diamonds you only have about an 8% chance of hitting your straight on the river. You are not getting odds to chase here. As played, I would need a good read on the villain to know the best line. However, I would normally check-call if I had made a straight. The reason being that if you move all in, the villain will fold all his one pair, two pair hands. The only hands he would presumably call with woudl be staights or flushes. By checking, you may get Ax or two pair hands to fire another barrel. NOTE: This hand looks like it comes from a sng tournament. Only full ring cash games are allowed for this promotion! Playing anything else may have made you ineligable to continue with the bankroll builder promo. Please stick to full ring cash games. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

                Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                Best of Luck!

I called on Villain's 6 8cents bet because i had the top pair on that flop. I folded right after villain 2 made an all in bet of 63cents. There are a few possibilities to this flop; should i have called that 8cents bet on the flop?

Hi xcuttx! Limping along preflop is perfect in this spot.umbup: A2s plays well as a speculative hand (smallish pairs, suited connectors and Axs). With speculative hands you want to see the flop cheap, be in late position and have multiple opponents in the pot. All these conditions are in place here. Post flop becomes fit or fold with speculative hands. If you hit a set, a strong straight or flush draw, then you can continue aggressively with the hand. If you miss, then it is best to check-fold normally. Here you flop top pair which looks like it might have potential. However, these hands are often very dangerous and very costly. I strongly suggest folding to the flop bet for several reasons. Firstly, there is a flush draw on the board which is not in your suit. If the 2 of spades comes your two pair may be crushed by a flush. There are also several possible straight draws none of which you have a piece of. Secondly, and most importantly, you will often be facing an opponent holding an A with a better kicker than your 2. This can easily result in you losing a big pot. In this spot there are very few cards that will improve your hand on the turn/river, and very many cards that will be very scary for you. This will make your post flop play difficult, especially against multiple opponents. Speculative hands are good to play preflop, but we normally need to check-fold when we miss post flop as in this case. Remember, when you play a hand as a speculative hand, we typically don't want to flop a pair. We want a set or strong draw to the nuts. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX
