      First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

Hi, Hand Analysis This hand is okay to be playing on nearly a 100b stack depth for minimal cost, but should generally be folded to EP and MP raises and calls (early position and mid position) especially when being in position. Keep in mind that this hand will flop a lot of mid pairs on most board textures, this will leave us vulnerable to being out kicked and/or other made hands that are bigger than a 9 or 7, that being said many situations will occur where we do not feel comfortable betting this hand for value unless we flop the world (5 to 9 or 7 to J straight, on rainbow board) Post flop, our equity is minimal and we need to discount all :d that could make our straight as there is a good possibility of a flush draw being present with so many players involved in the pot, I'd fold on the flop and turn and wait for a better spot to put chips in the middle where we have at least 30% equity. Hope this helps. So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus. 1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video 2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer [x] COMPLETE 3) Pass the Poker Basic course. Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

              Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

              1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
              2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
              3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

              Best of Luck!

Why to make a big bet

To bluff off decent hands or to put alot of pressure on opponents to gain value with a good hand.

Hi, Hand Analysis Post flop, checking the flop to induce Ax or other holdings such as pocket pairs, Qhigh Khigh to bet is optimal here, although when the villain checks behind on this flop my course of action on the turn would be to bet 3/4 pot size for value..there is now a flush and straight straight draw present and the villain could have limped some of those combos, Kx might make a high card float as they do have thin show down value versus a semi bluff range, also 9x 8x may call here. There are several hands that can call us on this turn and given the current size of the pot and the villains stack depth a 4c bet would be an enticing amount to call..they'd stick around. On the river I would not over bet the pot to make up for lost value on previous streets (unless we had specific reads on the villain) a good general rule of thumb for value bet sizing is 2/3 to 3/4 pot size! Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
