Hi, Hand Analysis This hand is a medium to strong hand depending on the table dynamic and based on all of the limping ahead of us it would be safe to say that the villains at the table have been quite passive. Usually a limping range is perceived as a weak range, but based on our stack depth 80bb as well the potential of being at a positional advantage post flop and the assumption of the villains dynamic and/or tendencies, I do not mind the isolation raise as it will thin down the field and greatly increase our overall equity/hand strength in the pot..although that wasn't the outcome as many players tagged along for to see the flop. Post flop, the stack to pot ratio is set up for us to get it all in on the flop, but with so many players involved in the pot we have to be weary of a possible combo of Qx being present and there is not to many other combos that we can really get value from besides |(flush & straight draw..also Ax A9 and below)| essentially our hand is now a bluff. Hope this helps. So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus. 1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video [x] COMPLETE 2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer [x] COMPLETE 3) Pass the Poker Basic course. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed. Best of Luck! Kind regards, CannonLee

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

                  Kind regards,
                  CannonLee

Hi, Hand Analysis Please only play at a full table of 0.01/0.02 9-max NLHE as your training is focused primarily on this game format. This hand in general will flop a lot of 2nd pair type of hands and can be categorized as marginal. Rarely ever will we feel comfortable betting this hand for value or raising. On the turn I would have raised as there may be some river cards that hurt our course of action and the same would apply for the villain, there are certainly some hands to get value from, Ax Kx Qx floats with two over cards and quite possibly some inside straight draw combos. On the river I'd elect to just call the villain and save bets for a good value spot. Hope this helps. So you have 2 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 2) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 2 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck!

Hi lazyt123, I'll take a look at this hand.

First of all, it looks like you posted your big blind out of turn. Don't do this. Since you'll be dealt an unplayable hand more than 80% of the time, you'll be throwing away 2c four times out of five. This money will add up over time and drain your bankroll. When you first join a table, click the "Wait until big blind before posting" option.

Here you have 63 offsuit UTG (under the gun, first to act) on a full table and you decide to raise. I'm afraid to say this is a terrible play, even though you had a positive result (no one called). 63o is one of the weakest hands in holdem and you are in early position, with 8 players still with live cards. No one in the world can make a long-term profit playing a hand this weak, especially in this position. You should not be raising (because you'll only get action from hands that crush you) and you should not be limping (because that's a weak play, indicating a weak hand). You should be folding this hand 100% of the time. It's just not a profitable hand. The only time I'd see a flop with this hand is if I had 63 in the big blind and I could see a free flop by checking my option. Even then, I'd be check-folding the flop unless I made two pairs or a straight.
When you're UTG on a full ring table, you should only play premium hands. I'd recommend a range of TT+ and AK, and you would enter the pot with a standard raise of 3bb (6c). Anything worse than a pair of tens or AK should be folded in this spot, at least until you have a lot more experience of post-flop play and have reads/notes on your opponents.

If you've not already seen it, have a read of the PSO course on Starting Hands so you have a better idea of which hands are playable in each position.

                          Hope this helps!
                          Cheers,
                          Arty

                              1) to put pressure on opponents
                              2) to gain a value from very strong hands
                              3) to protect against strong draw
thanx now I got to pass the quiz
