Sorry posting that late.I have a little troble with internet connection but it's all fixed right now and now i can finnaly play poker. So ... i've been wathcing the video and i complete the poker basics course. This is a hand that is ... interesting. So ... i get a pair of three's ( 3d 3s) in cutoff position. Every one call the blinds so i decide to raise 3x BB with my pair hoping to catch a set on the flop. Of course i've been called by all of them. So the flop was giving me a set(10h 2d 3c) how i was hoping and no other's big possibilities. just a straight draw.Preety good flop for my hand. Everone check's the flop so i decide to raise about 1/3 of the pot. 5 people called my raise. The turn show the 5s. Again everyone check's till me,so i raised about 1/2 of the pot and i was called by two.(one player goes all-in) The river was the 6h. I decide to put all in and the other player folds. i'n the showdown i show the set of 3 and the other player show his hand(pair of four's)who hit the straight on the RIVER(he called all in just with a pair of four's on the turn). i had to play different the hand?I should slowplay the hand or more agrresive? Thx in advance and what comes next?

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.
He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

          Cheers.

Hi idontcarex3! This was an interesting hand The way this hand played out would rarely occur on a real money table. Preflop making a small raise with your pair is fine since this is play money. Opponents are very likely to just call, not 3-bet you. If this were a real money table, I strongly suggest calling preflop rather than raising against so many opponents. It is unlikely that you have the best hand. It is also unlikely that you will thin the field enough with a raise. You will flop a set 1 in 8 trys on average. The 7 times you miss, you will have a hard time playing postflop since pretty much all cards will be overcards to your pair and scary. Play small pairs against multiple opponents as a speculative hand. If you flop a set great, if you don't check-fold. As played, you flop a set - nice! Now you want to protect your hand AND extract as much value as possible from the opponents. With so many villains in the hand, I would suggest making a pot sized bet. At play money you will still most likely get called by multiple villains. On a real money table you would probably get called by 1 or 2 and hopefully raised. Your hand is rated to be best and you can gladly get all in now. The turn does connect the board even more. Now you really want to make a pot sized bet. I doubt you would ever have gotten this situation on real money, but I would bet the pot if it occured. The best way to max your profit is to build the pot by betting/raising aggressively when you have a strong hand. The all in villain got lucky on the river. Larger bets on earlier streets may have gotten him to fold, but being play money he may have called nonetheless. You had the right idea in this hand and played it pretty well. Don't stress the result too much. Just keep working on your bet sizing. Remember, the best way to build the pot is to bet/raise your strong made hands such as a set or better every chance you get. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

Excellent! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! umbup:
