Task 2 - Hand replayer I called preflop assuming the opponent wold have gone all-in with a suited connector or max. AJ+, no pocket. He had 2.5 times shorter stack on the button, good position to push with a medium strengt hand. My luck he didn't hit the queen.

Task 3 - Poker Basic course

          Hello,

I have completed the whole poker basic course and with the final quiz I have trouble getting it satrted:
"There is a problem with your account. Please contact support@pokerschoolonline.com"
I sent an e-mail, no reply.

I have completed every short quiz at the end of the chapters.

I tried logging out and signing in again, but it didn't help.

Except for this final quiz I have all 3 first steps of Bankroll Builder completed.

          How should I proceed?

Hi Dopamiin! It can take up to 24 hours for support to reply, but they WILL reply to you. Passing the quiz is a necessary part of this process and I'll need to have it marked in the system that you have completed it before I'm able to move you to the next step. With 55 in the SB, I get a limp, then an abnormally large shove from the button. This bet is a problem, as a standard raise for them should only be to 3BB+1BB for each limper which would be to 800, but they bet over 15k. I also still have 2 opps behind me left to act that also could call. While 55 is a pair, it's a very marginal hand, especially in a multi-way pot. Even if I'm heads up, I'm mostly in a coin flip situation or I can also be easily dominated by a large pair. Even if the opp is a total maniac, I'm going to fold here, as best case the others fold and I'm in a coin flip. Most opps, when they bet like this, their overbet is a tell for a monster hand and against any of those, my 55 is crushed, as I only have two outs. It's just not worth the risk to call here, especially if I think that any of the other opps might call. I also think that you might want to reconsider the opp's range here, as unless they are a maniac, their range will be much, much tighter than this. I'd expect to see a range of AK+, 10's+ and that's it from this type of bet. The suited connector, lesser A hands would normally limp here, not shove. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

              All three steps done

I got the test to load and passed it.
Thank You for your quick reply last time and for the hand analysis.
I know I shouldn't have called in a real game, but in play money they tend to show all in so often with marginal hands. And I was playing at that table for some time, I had a hunch about the opponent. But clearly I was pure lucky and will avoid such questionable calls in the future!

Brilliant Dopamiin! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck!umbup: John (JWK24)

Hello, A nice saturday, all three things done: The lessons were really interesting. I had most trouble with pot odds. And taking others players outs into consideration when calculating mine. I guess these were also my mistakes in the quiz (passed with 78% only). I will work on that. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? To gain value from very strong hands (most important) To put a lot of pressure on the opponents To protect their hand against strong draws (also gaining value at the same time) Holding a monster KK at cutoff I was very happy the button decided to call my every raise. But on the turn as the third diamond was revealed I was really worried and was thinking of throwing my made hand out. Still I decided to raise and fold in case of a re-raise, the button called. I repeated the same strategy on the river still not being sure if the opponent is simply slowplaying the flush. I was lucky, no flush. I managed to double the reward 1.5 EUR in this one session (~60 hands) I played tonight. Now I'm tired and will go to sleep Thank You for this interactive possibility to learn!

Hi Dopamiin! I'll take a look at this hand.

It's nice to get KK in late position, and your standard raise to 3bb (6c) is good, because villains will have no idea just how strong you are. The button calls in position, which could be annoying on the flop, but since he just called, you are getting value from a worse hand. (He'd surely re-raise with AA). The blinds fold, so you're heads up. One of the trickiest spots in poker occurs when you have KK on an ace-high flop and you're out of position. Here, you don't need to worry, because you made a set, so can start betting strongly for value, looking to get paid off by any ace, flush draw or straight draw.
Flopping a set on an ace-high two-tone board is probably the most profitable spot in poker, because you're more likely to be called on this flop than any other. I'd actually bet a little bigger here, close to pot with 12c into 15c. If villain has no ace, flush draw or a set of 3s, he has junk and you wouldn't get any money out of him on later streets anyway.
Villain calls, so we're getting value. The turn is worrying, because the flush is possible, as you noticed. Nevertheless, I like betting again for a few reasons.
                    * Villain doesn't have a flush all that often, and when he does he'll usually raise, so you know where you're at. If the raise is big, you can fold, because you don't have great odds to call and try and hit a boat/quads (10 outs) on the river. If it's small, you can call, but fold if you don't improve on the river.
                    * Villain will nearly always call if he has one diamond in his hand. On this particular board, he can have the Ad for top pair plus the nut flush draw (TP+NFD), so you can get good value from that.
                    * If you don't bet, this is a great card for villain to bluff at in position. (If he just has the ace and he thinks it's good, the bet will still make you fear the flush, so you might fold the best hand).
                    * You still have 10 outs to the full house/quads, so building the pot is great for the 20% of times you make the (near) nuts and villain has the nut flush. You'll win his stack when that happens.

Villain calls and the river is a J. If another diamond had come, you'd probably have to check-fold, as your set was crushed by a flush. The J only improves villain's hand if he had AJ, JJ or QT, but those last two hands would be very unlikely to show up here, because they'd fold on the turn or earlier on this scary looking board.
You can definitely bet again here and I think your sizing of 3/4 pot is good. Villain is short-stacked now, so even if he shoves, I'm probably calling. We lose to flushes, but completely crush AK, AJ, A7, A3, 77, 33 and JJ.

                    Well played, sir!

                    Cheers,
                    Arty

                      Hi Dopamiin!

I do not show in the system that you have passed the cash game quiz. If you have, please send an e-mail to support@pokerschoolonline.com and they will be able to help correct this. I need to have this show in the system before I can move you to the next step.

                              Hi Dopamiin!

It's 10vpp's ONLY after you received the 2nd bonus which hopefully was a couple hours ago. Any previous VPP's don't count.

Please play with the bonus and hopefully you will get to 10.

Please also note that it can take 48-72 hrs for the vpp's to show in our system and I do not show you even close to 10vpp's after the 2nd bonus.
