Hi ive played some play money poker and would like to know what you think of how i played this hand with pocket 3s i hit trips on the flop i folded on the river because two players went all in, i knew there was a flush and straight draw there, i was pretty positive that i had best hand but i wanted to play it like i was playing for real money and normally in cash games they would of hit that board and beat my trips. by the way i would of raised the pocket 33s from under the gun but i decided not to because i knew the other two players would have and i didnt want to get all in pre flop with pocket 33s

So ive had ago at the cash quiz and i could do with a little help im sure ive got the counting your outs questions right, for example there's a question that asks how many outs do you have to the nuts so you would have 9 outs for the flush and and 3 outs for the straight as one queen of hearts is already on the flop

is this right or wrong or do i only count the outs for the best possible hand like the flush on the board or is it the best possible hands like a flush and a straight i can make. also i know you discount the cards that might make an opponents hand stronger than yours

The questions im sure im getting wrong are the ones i cant find the answers to in the lessons for example you have AK under the gun and 1 player raised and the other called so i raise the raiser and a another BB for the limper, But i cant find a chart that tells you if you fold call raise 3 bet re raise and so on all i have is what i learnt on the little mini game things in the lessons

Theres a pocket 88s question that pops up every time i try aswell and ive not seen a single thing telling you how to play pocket 88s in certain positions, ive been over all the lessons about 4 times i could probably read the whole thing from heart any help on this is greatly appreciated

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! Hand Analysis I would have open raised 3x the big blind and fold to any 3bets from any of the villains as we wouldn't have the correct price to call and set mine. On the flop I would have bet a little bit more than 1/2 pot..a board texure of KT3 is really going to hit alot of players ranges AK KQ KJ KT K9 QJ QT AQ QJ JT so I would have bet 2/3 pot to extract value from that range. The river is like the worst card that could have come! Interesting and tough spot here...I really do not see any flush combos that are in either of the two villains range that are floating our flop bet..I'm more inclined to believe that they may have a range of Jx KJ QJ JT AJ J9..I think you made the correct fold I also may have done the exact same. Hand Analysis I like your line post flop, checking the flop for pot control is ideal..especially because of the possibility of being out kicked. The villains turn bet does appear to be suspicious, there could be back door flush draws in their range, Qx and maybe Ax that has us out kicked I think our hand might merit a call but this is a close one..On the river I would have lead out and bet about 2/3 pot for value as I do not want the villain to be checking back all of their bluff catcher type of hands Qx, K high and pocket pairs. Hand Analysis It's fine to limp this hand to try and keep the pot small and play a fit or fold approach post flop..but facing all of the raises ahead of us we do not have the correct pot odds to make this call profitable long term although our stack depth can afford the call Post flop I like your line..with so many players involved there is such a wide range we can get value from Kx Tx flush draw and straight draw! Very nice pot!

Yes, count the outs for making the best possible hand (aka. the nuts)

When it comes to these hands/situations in real time each course of action is determined by the table dynamic/game flow mainly with AK. Also pocket pairs 22 to 99 should be proceeded with caution post flop and pre-flop as most board textures that contain over cards will present us with a situation of being "gun shy" or rather not feeling comfortable betting our hand for value.,unless we flop a set which would be the best case scenario. Generally.. holding a pocket pair pre-flop from any position that isn't a premium (AA KK QQ JJ) we want to keep the pot small if we happen to be playing OOP(out of position). Hope this helps! Kind regards, CannonLee

thanks for your input yh i know i played those pocket 3s dangerously i wont be calling big raises preflop with them again ok so im wondering if you think i should of played this hand more aggressively or was i right in being worried about the flush even though he got lucky on the river Ive watched the vid and the answer to players may want to make big bets is because? to put pressure on opponents to bluff people with possibly better hands and to bet for value ive also completed the cash game quiz

Hello, Fantastic! Your second Bankroll Builder bonus is on it's way to you, great job so far. Watch this video that will help you on the cash game tables There are three ways in which you can earn your next bonus. 1) Earn 10 VPPs AFTER receiving your 2nd bonus and you will automatically be credited with your 3rd bonus. Let us know if you hit that target 2) If you lose your 2nd bonus at the tables please post the hands where you lost the money with here in this thread. As soon as you post the losing hands we will advise on the next step. 3) If you make a first deposit at PokerStars you will automatically be awarded your remaining bonuses from the Bankroll Builder promotion. Best of luck to you at the tables and we are here to help you should you have any questions. Hand Analysis On the button, I'd open for 3x the big blind. Looking at villain4 and 5's stack depth (we have them covered) I want to build the pot as quickly as possible Post flop, I'd raise the villain on the flop to 24c and bet 3/4 pot on the turn when checked to..it will certainly to some extent price out their back door flush draw and force them to gii (get it in) holding a wide range of QX, we can also win the pot uncontested if they fold..which we would not want them to. Please play only full ring 1/2c 9max NLHE as your training is focused primarily on this format and is what will keep you eligible to continue on with your training after receiving your 2nd buy-in. Kind regards, CannonLee
