Hi fla$her420! The first thing that I'd recommend to you is that when sitting down at any ring games to wait until the BB to start playing. Having to pay an extra blind over and over will be a big drain to a player's bankroll. With 10 2 from the CO, I'd like to fold here, but since the blind has already been posted, I'll check and hope to see a free flop. The flop gives me bottom pair and there is a bet from the SB that is called by everyone. With this many opps in the pot, bottom pair is almost never going to be ahead here, so I'm going to muck. I want to be putting my chips into the pot when I'm ahead, not when I know that I'm most likely behind. If I was in the pot on the river (which I would not), then I need to make a raise and I need to size it based on the size of the pot. With this many opps in the hand, I'll make a pot sized raise to 460. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! umbup:

                    Hi flas$her420!

This hand turned out fine for you, but you were a little lucky that villain played his hand very badly, although I bet he doesn't realise it.
You made a standard raise of 3bb with AA in EP and you got a call. When this happens, I'm mostly concerned with a player going set-mining with a small/medium pair. It's actually a mistake for a villain to call an EP raise when he has KQo, because that's in bad shape against your range (which should be something like 99+, AQ+, AJs+).
If this villain was tight passive (a nit) and never bluffs with draws, then his flop raise always represents a set of trips. AA is way behind a set, so I'd often to the flop raise, especially as there are no possible overpairs that would have called pre-flop. (If the flop was 8xx, then villain would often also raise the flop with QQ-99; hands you're beating).
With top pair, villain should really just call on the flop, in the hope you missed (with a hand like AK or JJ). By raising, he's usually only getting action from hands that have him crushed.
Here, you decide to go all in versus the raise and you end up getting in good against villain's top pair. Nice one!

                    Hope this helps.
                    Cheers,
                    Arty
