Bankroll Builder, PlayMoney Hand I posted BB out of turn. Everyone called 20, one min raise to 40, I called with the 62. Ended up calling a strange all in. Did I play correctly?

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you. He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step. Cheers. Raiser umbup:

Hi NiMeiMeiDi One of the most important lessons in holdem is learning to be patient. Never post the bb out of turn! Wait for it to come to you. In the meantime watch the other players and start taking notes and building up your reads. You gain experience just as easily from watching others play as from playing yourself. 62s is just too weak of a hand to play in this spot. It seems cheap to call 1bb, but these small amounts add up over time. Be patient and wait for good starting hands. You will win more often and have an easier time post flop. You need to ask yourself what are you hoping to flop? You may get a flush draw, but you are not drawing to a nut flush. You have a very slim straight draw, but it is unlikely. If you flop a pair, you will rarely have top pair and never have top kicker. All these factors combine to indicate that you will rarely win hands with 62. In the long run your losses will add up to far outweight your profits. As played, checking the flop with bottom pair was smart. The turn gave you two pair. Raising as you did is good, however, I strongly suggest not min-raising. This gives everyone good odds to continue with the hand and outdraw you. Raise to about 70% of the pot to ensure that anyone chasing is making a mistake by continuing. At play money tables, especially with so many in the hand, you could profitably make it 3x or 4x the original bet. Calling the all in was fine here. Nice pot GL and have fun at the tables! Hand Review

Thanks alot Roland. Yea, I totally understand that it was a lose call. auto-posting BB and playing these kind of hands is not my regular thing. But when I play play money I tend to play a little strangely. I should of shown you an example of my serious play money playing Anyways thanks a lot for your insight and it helped me a lot

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! Raiser umbup:
