Hi paris1804, You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!umbup: The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions. Please let me know after you have attended this session. Also, you can be practicing on the play money NL full ring tables and please post a hand that you were not sure about, using the hand replayer. Here's a short video on how to use the Hand Replayer

              Hi paris1804!

The training session that you need to attend is the Getting Started one. The others won't count for this step. Also, please play the play money FULL RING tables and post a hand that you had problems with using the hand replayer.

Hi paris1804! Is this the training that you attended, VIDEO LINK? There is one called Bet Sizing and it's different than the one that you currently need to watch, which is called Getting Started. If you haven't attended the Getting Started training, please watch the video. With AJ, or any other hand that I want to make an opening raise with, I'm going to make a standard raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper. With no limpers before me, I'll raise to 3BB or 30. I flop top pair with a good kicker and when it is checked to me, I want to make a value bet. Standard bets after the flop are based on the size of the pot, so with two opps, I'll bet 2/3 pot or 47 chips. I don't want to bet less than this, because if the opps have one of the draws, I would then be giving them the correct odds to try to outdraw me. Actually, this is a very WET board, as there is a possible flush draw and also multiple possible straight draws. The same thing on the turn. Due to all the possible draws and two opponents, I will once again bet 2/3 pot (67 chips). Once again also, I don't want to bet less for the same reasons as the flop. The first opp now check/raises. I need to make a decision here and that is to fold or to re-raise. With only one pair and a good kicker, I'm going to muck here. If I raised, I would need to raise to between 3X the opp's bet (120) and a pot sized raise (220). If I had two pair or a better kicker, I would raise to 200, but the hand that I have is marginal at best, so I'm going to muck and look for a better spot. The same thing on the river, if I raise, it needs to be to between 3X the opp's bet and a pot-sized raise. Making abnormally small raises are not going to get opps to fold, as they are getting the correct odds to call. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
