    Hi there,

I've just signed up to PokerSchoolOnline and I want to know if I qualify for the bankroll builder promotion?

Hi Linky912, You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!umbup: The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions. Please let me know after you have attended this session. Also, you can be practicing on the play money NL full ring tables and please post a hand that you were not sure about, using the hand replayer. Here's a short video on how to use the Hand Replayer

Hi, great news. I would just like to know, I see the next "getting started" is at 20:00 tomorrow night, however I am in a GMT+2 time zone which means I will not be able to attend tomorrows one since I am at in 7 hour deficit which is fairly large. I see the next one is on the 2nd of March my question is do I have to wait for a week for training session to take place before I can progress or is there any alternative? Please let me know I am really keen to progress asap.

      Kind Regards

            Hi Linky912!

Please play the play money FULL RING (9 player) tables and use the hand replayer to post a hand here that you had problems with. That way we can analyze it for you so that you can learn from it, then after that, we'll move onto the next step.

I don't really know why I am getting followed the whole way to the river with this guy only hitting his middle pair, just to draw out on me by hitting his 2 pair. Prett bad imo.

Hi Linky912! With AK or any other hand that I want to raise with, I'll make a standard opening raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper. Since there are 7 limpers, I'll raise to 10BB or 20. I flop top pair/top kicker, but there are 4 opps in the hand and the board has straight draws and a flush draw. Due to the board texture and number of opps, I'll make a pot-sized bet of 64. The same situation on the turn, but now there are two flush draws. I'll once again make a pot-sized bet here, BUT, I don't have that many chips.. so I need to shove the turn. It's unfortunate that the opp hits two pair on the river, but by betting too small, the opps get the correct odds to be in the hand and draw. By making standard bets, this makes it so that if the opp calls, they expect to lose chips by calling. If I would bet too small, the opps expect to make chips by calling. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                  Hi Linky912!

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz, please let us know and your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it and notifying us. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

Hi, I would just like to know about the buy-ins. Is it $2 released per course successfully completed? Or can I earn up to $8 per course depending on my score for that course's specific quiz?
                    Please do let me know.

                    Kind Regards

Here is another hand, that I couldn't have played any other way, but got bad beat again. Is this the way the cash tables are as well, or do you actually get more respect there?

                        Hi Linky912!

It's not a figure per quiz. There is a whole process to this promotion and when a memeber completes all of the necessary items for given steps in it, they will be awarded a buy-in and there are multiple ways to get some of them (quizzes, vpp's, etc). The buy-ins are released in $2 increments with a maximum of $8 total from the promotion.

                          Hi Linky912!

These types of players that chase everything are everywhere. I've seen them from online freerolls all the way up to a $365 WSOP circuit live event... they're everywhere and one thing that we need to do as players is to learn how to exploit them. Yes, we'll lose a given % of the time, but these are the types of players that we'll build our bankroll off of.

The only thing I'd have done different in that hand is to make my first raise to 10 (3BB+1BB for each limper). AA against two random hands will lose about 1 in every 4 times and unfortunately, this happened to be one of them.

Please let me know when you have completed the course.
