    Hi,

I'm interested in the PSO bankroll builder promotion. I just signed up yesterday and would like to know if I qualify.

    Thanks,

          Thanks Raiser,

I've attended Getting Started, Bet Sizing, and completed all of the courses in the sidebar. Anything else I can do to speed up the process?

Missed you at the Daily Game .. Irish Pubs ftw

Yes, we see that you attended. What did you think of the session? Learn anything useful? Remember also that it was just the Getting Started one for now, the other sessions you will have to attend again later in the promotion but only when instructed to do so. Next Step Next up play some 9-handed full-ring play money tables. Make sure the tables have no empty seats. Find a hand that caused you difficulty or cost you chips and using the hand replayer post it here in the Forum. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.
Once you've posted your hand we will analyse it for you and then continue on from there. Raiser umbup:

I had a bit of trouble with this hand. I'm not sure what would have been the best way to play it.

                  Hi SupaSoup!

With KQs from the small blind, I'm going to make a standard raise preflop (3BB+1BB for each limper) to see if I can get some of the opps to drop. If I was in position, on the button, I might limp behind, but if I'm out of position, I'm raising. Due to having 4 limpers, I'll raise to 14.

I flop 2 overcards and a flush draw. With this many opps behind me, I can really do either of 2 things here. Either to check and call a smaller bet (or get a free card if they all check), or I can make a bet that will price in my draws (less than a pot size bet if they all would call, less than 1/2 pot if I think only one will call). In most cases here, I'm going to lead out for 1/2 pot (6chips) and hope that I get two callers.

With everyone staying, I now have top pair. I'm going to lead out for a pot-sized bet here (if I am behind, I've got outs on the river to improve). There's a call and a raise and a call of the raise behind me now. I'm going to call the raise here and re-evaluate the river.

When the river is a blank, I'm going to check and hope to see a cheap showdown, as my hand does have showdown value.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.: Thumbup:

Thanks for the analysis JWK. In retrospect I definitely should have raised pre. I would have folded out 67o most of the time. My bet sizing was a little bit off but not by too much. I did check realizing I had showdown value, which is good.

Notes taken on playing stronger hands OOP in limped pots and bet sizing for pricing myself in.

                    Thanks again.
