I passed the "poker basics" test. I was just wondering how I go about getting the two dollars in my account?

    Thanks!

I played some of the "play money, no-limit" table action. In the following hand I don't think I played it right, but bluffed at the river and got paid.

        PokerStars Hand #90161263137: Hold'em No Limit (10/20) - 2012/12/02 15:01:05 ET
Table 'Vladimir VI' 9-max (Play Money) Seat #9 is the button
Seat 1: kickserv (530 in chips)
        Seat 6: CLYDEL135 (4136 in chips)

        kickserv: bets 100
natakon001 joins the table at seat #8
        CLYDEL135: folds
Uncalled bet (100) returned to kickserv
        kickserv collected 95 from pot

As for this hand, I think I got myself into trouble by not folding pre-flop. I hit K's on the flop and ended up folding but I got myself into trouble by getting involved in the first place!

Hi kickserv, Don't worry about posting a hand for review at the moment, that comes later in the promotion. The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started' Live Training sessions. These sessions can be found daily in the Live Training section. These classes are scheduled at different times on different days of the week so you will need to find which day suits your time zone best. I am signed up for Live Training at 2pm EST tomorrow (Dec. 3rd). I will post here when that is done. Then I should be good to go for the 2 dollars! I have passed the quiz, and played some poker with the "play money"

            Thanks

Post back when you've attended the session. Prepare some questions for the live trainer that you can ask him while you are attending. We will let you know when you are to get the bonuses, you've a few more steps to do yet. For now though all you need to do is to attend that live training session. Raiser umbup:

Hi kickserv, Perfect, we can see you on the list of attendees, did you find the session useful? We still need you to learn how to use the hand replayer though, it's a vital part of the Bankroll Builder promo. Next next play some 9-handed full-ring play money tables. Make sure the tables have no empty seats. Find a hand that caused you difficulty or cost you chips and using the hand replayer post it here in the Forum. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.
Once you've posted your hand we will analyse it for you and then continue on from there. Raiser umbup:

I tried 100 times to get the "hand replayer" to work. But on the MAC I could not paste the "Hand History" into the box on the "hand player" screen. It would simply not let me paste it. I know how to use it but as I said, it would not let me paste the info into the box!

                    So here are two hands.........

In the above hand I think I got into trouble not continuing to re-raise on 4th street. I either should have folded after the flop or got out of the way right before the hand even started. As you can see I would have had a straight on 4th street and would have won the hand.

I really didn't know what to do when the river hit on the above hand. I did the right thing my folding, but it was tough to decide what to do before that river hit!

If my calculations are correct I should be good to go for the 2 dollars!

                      Thanks!

I'll ask one of the hand analysers to look at these hands for you and offer some feedback. Once he does this we can continue on from there. Raiser umbup:

Hi kickserv First hand 55: Firstly, with so many limpers, checking is much better than raising. Normally 55 misses the flop. By raising you are usually just putting more into a pot that you will proabably have to fold to on the flop. You get a good open ended draw on the flop. There is 80 in the pot. Standard bet size would normally be 50%. Betting 14 is still just building the pot before you have a made hand. It won't get anyone to fold. Try to stick to standard bet sizes for the time being. On the turn the pot is 253 and you need to pay 25 to continue. You are getting slighly poor odds to call here hoping for a non heart 7. However, with so many people in the hand, and the size of the pot, your implied odds make this a good spot to call. If you hit your 7 you can expect to win a large pot. Second hand J8o: This hand is very weak. I strongly suggest just folding J8o preflop every time. As played, checking the flop is smart when you have middle pair on a fairly wet board. On the turn. You now have an open ended straight draw. This seems similar to your 55 hand, but isnt. You still have good implied odds, but calling 80 is a much larger portion of your stack than calling 25 in the previous hand was. I would have folded here myself. On the river, two pair rates to be the second best hand on this board. Learning how to reduce your losses is a big part of learning to be profitable. Great job folding!umbup: GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

Thanks for the info Roland GTX. And yes you are 100 percent correct sometimes just better to fold right at the beginning, saves you money in the long run.
