Hi there adi1711, Yes, you are eligible and welcome to the Bankroll Builder. To get you started we'd like you to play some play money games (In the PokerStars lobby go to Hold'em > Play Money > No Limit) and using the Hand Replayer please post a hand that you have found difficult here in this thread. Doing this will ensure that you know how to use the hand replayer tool and if you've any questions on it just ask us. Also please attend one of the 'Getting Started at PokerStars' live training sessions. You'll find these sessions daily in the Live Training section. Post back here when you have done both these things and we'll move you on to the next stage. Raiser umbup:

Hi adi1711! With three limps and then a shove in front of my action in the BB, this is a really sticky situation for 99. I could have the opp dominated (lower pair), be in a race with them (2 overcards) or they could have me dominated (larger pair). Due to this, my action will need to be based on my read of the opponent. If the opp has only been playing solid hands, then 99 is most likely at best in a race (50-50 coin flip)..and I don't want to put 170 BB worth of chips into a pure gamble, so I will fold. If the opp has shown the tendency to play any two cards, then instead of calling the opp's shove, I want to overshove, to try and isolate the one opponent (99 plays much better against only one opponent and I would rather not have multiple opps in the hand). If the opp is playing or shoving almost or any 2 cards, then my 99 IS ahead of their range and it's worth the risk. The key when playing poker hands is to take calculated risks against the opponents based on the way that they have reacted and the cards that they have shown.... not to blindly play any two cards and shove with them hoping to get lucky (like the opp did here). Good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                      Hi adi1711!

This is a very similar situation. If I thought that the opp was shoving any 2 cards, then I would want to over-shove to isolate them. I do not want to call and end up playing a multi-way hand. If the opp was a good opponent that is only playing realistic hands, then I'm folding here, as I could easily be behind a larger pair or I'd be in a coin-flip for too many chips (where I don't need to take this large of a risk, as I have almost 350BB in my stack).

Excellent! Now that you have passed the quiz your first $2 will be credited into your account within 24 hours. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion. Use this first $2 to then play the 1/2 cent real money tables only on PokerStars. Do not play higher buy-ins than this until instructed to do so. Don't worry if you lose this first buy-in as we will credit you with another $2 should this happen. Use all that you have learned so far to try some real money games (1/2 cent tables). Post any hands that you have difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyse them for you. Also, attend both the 'Bet Sizing' and 'Entering a Cash Game Pot' live training sessions. These sessions are found daily in the Live Training section. *(you will need to attend these sessions to advance). When you've done all this we will move you onto the next stage. Well done on the progress so far! umbup: Raiser umbup:
