  • Anyone on PS from North America?

I've been playing .02/.04 Limit Hold'Em on PokerStars and don't seem to ever play anyone from North America--only Eastern Europe.

    What's up with that?

USA residents are not allowed to play for real money, the only people from the North American Continent who are , are Canadians.

I thought that Mexico was classed as Central America.

Approximately 40% of our membership at PSO are Canadian but don't take the forum as a benchmark, most visit the site to check league scores and/or take part in quizzes & promotions. The forum is a very small part of the overall activity at the school.

Going by continent classification both Mexico and Central America are considered part of North America. As is Greenland (Iceland though,as I'm sure you know,is part of Europe).

Well Moxie, it really is true what they say, you do learn something new every day.

It was never made clear in school that the American Continent was divided only into two parts.

I always assumed ( wrongly it seems ) that it was divided three ways, as they always referred to North America, South America and Central America.

North America being The USA, Canada and Alaska, plus all the various Islands North of the southern tip of Florida. South America was Brazil, Peru , Chile, Uruguay etc. all those Countries in the Big Bit. And Central America as that Thin Bit that links the two, from Colombia to California and Texas.

Plus I thought that Greenland still came under Danish Jurisdiction, so was still classed as part of Europe.

But having said all that, I never got good grades in Geography and it was a loooooooong time ago. The World has moved on a lot since I was a boy. I remember saying to Noah, 'When you've finished your boat, will you help me build a tree house' ? but then it rained for a bit, and we never did get to build one.
