• Casino Daily Freeroll tickets are profitable?

Hello,
Found this promo on PS:
http://www.pokerstars.eu/casino/prom...ino-freerolls/
Of course I'm not cassino player, but someone claims he asked PS and says that it is possible in PS casino roulette bet $1 fro red and $1 for black color sin the same, and by avoiding "0" (green) with 13% loss probability only (the same as loosing AA vs 72s ) we should get this ticket.
But maybe do you know what is considered bet in casino roulette: one wheel turn, so when we bet $1 for red +$1 for black we have $2 in total but for different colors, but maybe this doesn't matter while this is one roulette wheel bet???
We need five bets $2 each to get those Freeroll tickets,
so no problem we could probably set $2 for red and $2 for black, but of course the now we risk $4 total to loose with 0.13 probability, which means two times more to get the same freeroll ticket.
It looks like free entry to those freerols, but how exactly those casino bets are calculated-in the term per roulette wheel totals, or per color/numbers sparate bets

Promotional Details

To be eligible for a Casino Daily Freeroll ticket, you must wager a minimum of five bets of $2.00 each ($10 in total) during one day by playing real money casino games. A ‘day’ is defined as 00:00 ET-23:59 ET.
To be eligible for a Casino Weekly Freeroll ticket, you must wager a minimum of five bets of $2.00 each ($10 in total) during three or more days within a qualifying seven-day week by playing real money casino games. A ‘week’ is defined as 00:00 ET Friday - 23:59 ET Thursday.
All casino games offered in the PokerStars 7 game client are eligible for the promotion. Note that casino games are not available on the mobile app.
BTW: Ps7 software is sick on my machine and no plans to switch to PS7 now, but just want only try to hit a few those freeroll casino tickets for free as described above-one oguy on other forum had such idea.

His thread was deleted by IntelliPoker.pl admins but he says PS said it is fine and no problem with that and even $1+$1 roulette bets shoud give us those tickets.
However, when reading english version of this promo details I'm concerned about what bet in casion games exactly means...

What do You thing about this way to get those tickets playing casino roulette with.... 87% percentage to win (1-1/37*5)*100%

Hi aspok123,

I've no idea how these casino promotions work as I don't use Casino.

Your best bet to get an answer to your question would be to email support@pokerstars.com

To calculate whether it is worthwhile you also need to make a decent guesstimate of your equity in the freerolls. I highly doubt this will be a plus EV proposition. If it is, it will be very marginal.

I can't get onto the site you linked to because Pokerstars, annoyingly, automatically redirect my url to the UK version.

There would need to be considerable amount of $ in the freeroll for me to think this makes sense to do.

Yep, will see-waiting for this ticket while completed this "challenge" and hopefully won with casino in those 5 attempts
However, if someone has very small bankroll this is like Soviet roulette and can kill your bankroll, while one might think that 87% chance to avoid "0" in those 5 attempts is huge advantage-you might be wrong

Roulette ball stopped in 3rd/5 attempt... ONE field before green "0" and it was very close to loose those $2 invested to get this casino freeroll ticket

So, one have to pray for "Poker Gods" when want sget those poker tickets this way, while when we realize what 87% chance to win means, someone might tilt when he hits green "0" which means like he lost with AA vs 72o in poker terms

AA vs 72o EV: 0.87 http://twodimes.net/poker/?g=h&b=&d=&h=Ah+Ad%0D%0A7s+2c

Good luck all and lets meet in this hyper-turbo freeroll donkament soon

It's a tricky situation to predict but I can see where your coming from. I done a similar thing on another site for a few weekly freerolls and ended up losing £50 just to meet the requirements.

On the other hand these freerolls attract bad gamblers which is really what we want. I just checked them out and 863 players played for $5,000. This gives a buy in value of $5.79. It's a marginal decision, you have to risk $10 to play these but I'm sure these games will be whale filled so it could be a +EV decision. There is a possibility (although unlikely) that you could lose the $10.

One question, do you earn VPPs for playing the casino?

I do not risk in casino $10 in long run, while this $2 total bet which is displayed in casino lobby is... $1 on red and $1 on black, so we loose $2 with probability 13%, so in long run only $0.26 per attempt to get this ticket at minimum cost in this casino promo
If estimated buyin value is above $5.5 this means we get profits in long run >$5 and we have AA in our hands vs PS casino 72o

BTW: My guess is, PS simply wants players to test his new PS7 while this casino roullette is not available in PS6, so they made such promo while they believe maybe more players will play casino.
Since this bet amoutn $2=$1 red+$1black apears in cassino lobby as one bet, it looks like all requirements are met since minimum $2 bet is required
This of course might be optimal strategy while we do not want risk (invest) more than $2 while we have very big chance to win 87% and as you can see each $2 bet is back $2 (regardles red or black hits we win and loos in the same time), so those money can be put in another bet and no need to risk $10 since there is a little chance casino will hit "0" in those 5 such bets.

Of course attempt to get lets say 3 tickets such way by investing only $2 will decreese while it will be around 66% chance to avoid "0" in 3 x 5 bets, so we need from time to time make profits in those freerols to see our bankroll bigger and bigger
In the terms of buyin value we get it looks fine, another story is huge variance in hyper-turbo donkaments, while we need to cash in average above $0.26, but in theory it looks like this strategy can be profitable.
I have no idea how long this promo is valid, but probably will try 3 times to get additional ticket for weekly with added price pool.
Will see if we make profits, but it looks like it might work.
