    Hi thecandyrunt

Thanks for your post, and welcome to Pokerschoolonline.

This link will help you find most of the features available to members, and will help you to find your way round.

I take it that the written tutorials you mean the written courses. These are intende to take the beginer poker player through the varouse aspects of playing poker and gently progresses our knowledge, where as the videa tutorials demonstrate these principles in actual play with a live trainer available to answer questions.

Hope that helps, and good luck.

Hi Wiltshireman, yes I do mean the witten courses. There is a big difference between the STT video for early stages on hand ranges than there is for the written course. The course range is much narrower that the video.

      Do you know why?

Hello thecandyrunt, While both the written and video tutorials on the face of it may appear different they have in fact a lot in common. The biggest difference is that the written text was complied with the absolute poker beginner in mind. For the absolute beginner we try to emphasis the concept that 'Tight is Right' and focus mainly on starting hands, position etc .. the real basic stuff to get a new player going. The video tutorial we use is from a PokerStars Team Online Pro called Grayson 'Spacegravy' Physioc. When he recorded the video he targeted more advanced players who would already have a basic grasp of the game under their belts and as a result his range is a little wider. If you closely compare the two you'll see that Grayson also advises players to play the 'tight' game, especially in the early stages of STT/SNG's Raiser umbup:
