I'm an ex-pat from America, who found an excellent job abroad, and is now beginning to pick up poker as a hobby. This looks like a great place to sharpen my skills, and with poker on the rise in the east, it looks like it's good timing as well.

I started a blog using the blog function, and if anyone sees me in any of their games, I'm always open to criticism -- I'm still learning the basics, lol.

I hope to hear from you guys!

Not sure if the PSO is the best place to sharpen your skills, but it is a good place to learn!

Rusty it was way fun tabling with you last night in the PSO. You got some game for sure.

Despite what some may tell you there is plenty to learn here in PSO,especially for a beginning player. The biggest lesson that you can learn here is how to be PATIENT. And there are few lessons that are as valuable to learn in this game.

Once you reach a certain level of profiency then I would say yes,the amount that you can learn here will shrink,if not flat-line altoghether. I know that I'm not there yet and to be honest I think that there are less peeps at that point than there are those who think they are.

You will see people trash this league at the tables and in the Forum non-stop,as well as the Forum and School themselves. And at times deservedly so. But on balance this is a great thing that Pokerstars has given us here. And it's free. I'll tell you right now that if I had'nt found PSO when I did that I probably would have chucked this site and on-line poker itself in another week's time.

I'm grateful every day that I landed here, and you are going to meet alot of great peeps along the way.

        Welcome aboard and Good Luck.
