  • Open League Torture, Tilt and Bad Play Hands

Calling my AA 180 raise pre flop with 10-8 off suit and losing opponent getting there twice on me.

I blame myself entirely due to in hindsight I may have gotten greedy by just raising pot size instead of pushing all in.
At least negative 20+ points for me.

I am tilting so badly, that I want to take another month off Open League. I do not know if I will ever able to conquer Open League.

In league games, I don't ever want to be all-in unless I know that my hand will be the best after all 5 cards are on the board. I need to make standard bets and not to make an overbet shove, basically ever. Gaining a few chips will never outweigh the points penalty for busting early.

i know how your feeling the last 3 open league games i played not including the last one i got pocket ks early in all 3 not even under 5000 players first i was up against aa, the other 2 just ace rags and what hit there aces so today i decided to try something different i actually just sat out till i was down to about 900 chips didnt even look at the game other than to check my chips then started playing and i actually finished 500.

In multi-way pots, AA is not as good of a hand as you think. Against 2 opps, they will lose 3 in every 10 times.

                  open skills league

when the open skills league started i remember one person would register for all tournaments for the month, sit out and not play a hand the entire month and the person was still issued a ticket to the premier league the next month,if it can be done once it can be done again!

If I am down to 900 chips without playing a hand the blinds are usually 60/120min and if I play a hand eg call some players 240 raise with JJ, I am usually pot committed, due to I will have only 630ish left, as I am still in negative points territory, so doesn't really matter if i fold or not on the flop.
Should I have folded the JJ in the 1st place? Maybe. I had folded so many 88+ pairs before this hand.

yes i wouldnt be calling a raise i want to be the one pushing if im not im just hoping to see the flop on my bb and this has worked well for 3 - 4 i have played all expect the one i got aces. The rest i won with just bb cards got back up in chips and sat and waited for a hand again

it is seeming playing any hand before you are below 900 chips just kills you had aces today 3000 players left in, 5 in pot so pushed all in 2 callers and i lose to 69 he hits 2 pair

Tried a sneaky wishful blockers play from UTG with KJs all in shove of over 9K at 1000/2000 BB called
with 36o and won with two pairs; caught a K on the flop though lol.

Why is it virtually near impossible to push someone off one pair in Open League? and therefore play one pair so aggressively and then get lucky on you most of the time.
