  • I will join the open skill league

Starting Jan I will join the open skill league

I'm checking at the schedule and saw one that fits well to mine. The 2:00am Philippine's Time.

I'm going to ask for advice/strategy.

31 games maybe I will miss some games.

Total games is 25 games. Is this enough to win it all the way or just enough to cash and earn my ticket to premier skill league?

all advice will be greatly appreciated.

yes because the higher u r in the leaderboard the harder to gain points. so you need to play alot of game to climb in the later stage.

don't steal unless FT, take all the time every hand, only play premium hands, and above all... NO EARLY EXITS, ever.

well noted, so excited to try to play my first practice game later gonna practice everyday till the 3rd of Jan.

at least this will test my patience as a poker player

you can't win big if you can't win small

I hope this will help my game a lot.

will just add this to my big $11. It's an hour difference.

                      let's see what happens.

                        question:

how long the game will take to finish until heads-up?

                        just assuming in case

it will also teach you how to survive and advance with a very short stack... which will be good to know for ladder climbing in mtt's.

I love your enthusiasm regarding the Open League, Marvinsytan.

If you have never played in the Open you are in for quite the experience and a test of your patience to say the least.

Putting the amount of time that is needed to make top ten or even top 50 can not be done in just 31 games unless you are on such a winning streak that it could move mountains and raise the dead.

HU usually takes between 4 to 5 hours or more depending on how nitty the final table players are

If I was you, id focus on your first few games as a testing the waters type of mindset to see if you really like the type of playing style that is needed to make it far up the leader board like you are wanting to do.

Doubling up on a few hands here and there and stealing the blinds occasionally will take you into positive points every game, but to do it consistently every game that you play will take a heck of a lot of patience and luck on your part.

I wish you all the luck in the world with your newly acquired adventure.
