  • Running deep in the Open League

I'm having the most amazing session in the Open league. I've been all in numerous times, and seem to hit every time I really need it. Stats as follows:

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 212 hands and saw flop:
    - 14 out of 25 times while in big blind (56%)
    - 4 out of 25 times while in small blind (16%)
    - 10 out of 162 times in other positions (6%)
    - a total of 28 out of 212 (13%)
    Pots won at showdown - 12 of 16 (75%)
Pots won without showdown - 7

I'm currently 15th of 20 out of a starting field of 9,144. I've been playing really tight and patient, and it's paid off big time!! Of course the clock has been my friend too. Final update tomorrow.

Well done. How long did you play for? I played my first tourney today but don't think I will bother with anymore, it appears to be more of a lottery than a poker game.

Folded my way into the top 5000 and eventually finished 2777th and watched a hell of a lot of strange plays. It is virtually impossible to put someone on a hand as they play anything and everything.

          Cheers

So you managed to resist playing a hand for 15 minutes but couldn't do it for another 15 ?

Welcome to the Open League, although your statement could apply to the early stages of just about any freeroll. If you spend a little time analysing what's required to succeed in this league you may find it worthwhile hanging around. If not, adios

I agree with this comment most of time (as there good players too). As Joy said Playing really tight and patient, and clocking ( personally i don't like doing but if it gets me + points/ITM I'll do it ) is only way go in this league IMO. I try to pick up BB/SB /premier hands, with the help of lady luck, to make first ITM (exp; Entrants; 10000/1440th) + points ( US$ 00.005 ) then open up range to try make 2nd mark ( about 240th!) ++ points, then 90th ( US$ 00.01 ) +++ points etc All Best Luck/Skillumbup: All

How many tourneys do you normally play in the league each month?

I enter approximately 90. How many I "play" is a bit of a moot point. Maybe a dozen

It took 4.5 hours, I;m usually playing a couple of other tables to keep from falling asleep.
