  • Advanced Poker League

PSO please develop an advanced poker league. You could have the top 300-500 players of the month qualify. The money split could be $10,000 for the school and $7,500 for the advanced league. As the advanced league fills keep the top 2000.
Right now there are too many donks, shove monkeys, and people who sit out. There are too many players that just don't care. For those of us who love this league we deserve better.

    LOL,someone took a donking.................

Seriously tho Dino, you're easily one of the best players in the League and you know the drill. Just get it back on track and mostly the donks chips will come your way.

I have to be honest,I had about totally given up on the League at the beginning of last month when they lowered the ITM % to top 10%. The first 3/4 PSO's I played in were absolutely horrendous and even though I cashed in two of them I was thoroughly disgusted with the play.

Then I came back and tried a few about the third week and found that,to my surprise, the play had actually improved a little. I think,in my opinion, that the level of play is still a little better than it was before the change. Not a large improvement admittedly but I see it at least. I think it coincides with the fields dropping from 1800,1900 even near 2000 back down to peaking around 1700. To me it seems that, for the most part, those who have left are mostly the ATC shoving pennyrollers,as it's now to hard for them too get that penny.

Now yes, those who remain are donking it up even more I think, and if you land on a table with 2 or 3 of them on it,you are faced with the ultimate blessing/curse scenario, but at least there are'nt so many of them as before. At least it seems that way to me.

I highly doubt that Stars will do something to chop the prize here Dino,as the more runners they have equals more potential depositers, they may even be regretting the scoring change already.

And I agree,I would like to see a second qualifying players only type league get up and running already (I hope that the Warm-ups were'nt it..............). It could even be for points towards Tournament Dollars/entries,whatever. I would love for it to include games besides NLHE though.

    Here's hoping.............

Its not so much the donking and its definitely not the bad beats, thats all part of poker, its the "I don't care" attitude from many players. That cant be helped in a freeroll. As the PokerStars poker school the natural progression is an advanced league. You can only learn so much from making your way through a mine field of bad play. You need to be able to play with good players in order to get better.
PSO has done a great job of helping many of us with lessons, training, a library and league play. The next step is an advanced league.
