  • Dumb home game Question

I have set up a cash table for HU and opened another one for chat.
Went to open another and it said that was the limit for play money tables.

So I closed the chat table so I can run a tourney.
I go to "create a tournament" and fill in the time date, etc and then when Im finished I see no
    way to complete the setup.
Ive changed the table size and amount and still nothing shows up to help me out.
    Lost here..

Do I have to have a set number of members before I can use this option?

    Help me out..

I don't think so. You should be able to make a new tournament any time if you're the manager.

I don't think you have a minimum number of players that needs to be met.
Sometimes there's a delay of less than a minute, for deleting a table or tourney there. Give it a couple mins and try again.

Regarding your second question, from your description of the problem it sounds like you may have your screen resolution set too low - this would mean that the bottom of the tournament creation form at the end would be below the bottom of your screen and therefore unreachable. So there is no way to see the "Create Tournament" button.

One solution for this will be decreasing the Text Size for the PokerStars client, which will make the Home Games windows smaller. To do this, from the Main Lobby, go to the View menu and select 'Text Size' > 'Smallest'. This will close the Home Game windows, and when you reopen them the windows will be smaller, allowing you to see the buttons.

Another solution for this is to increase the screen resolution of your monitor. To adjust your screen resolution follow the method depending on your Operative System below:

        Windows XP or older:

        1) Right click on your desktop.
        2) Select 'Properties'.
        3) Click the 'Settings' tab and then under 'Screen Area', move the slide bar to your desired setting and select 'OK'.
        4) Click on 'Yes' to confirm you what to keep the change after the screen resolution changes.

        Windows Vista:

        1) Right click on your desktop.
        2) Select 'Personalize'.
        3) Select 'Display Settings'
        4) Under 'Resolution', move the slide bar to your desired setting and select 'OK'
        5) Click on 'Keep' to confirm you what to keep the change after the screen resolution changes.

        Windows 7:

        1) Right click on your desktop.
        2) Select 'Screen Resolution'.
        3) Under 'Resolution', move the slide bar to your desired setting and select 'OK'
        4) Click on 'Keep' to confirm you what to keep the change after the screen resolution changes.

        Mac OSX:

        1) Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your menu bar and select 'System Preferences'.
        2) Select 'Displays'.
        3) Select a resolution.

Please note that there is no need to keep the same resolution all the time - if you prefer a lower resolution generally, then you would simply need to perform this task when you want to use the PokerStars software to create tournaments, and change it back when you are finished.

Please let us know if this does not resolve your problem, if you have any other question Shane, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

For me it was worked out by making the text smaller. No idea why that worked but will take it.
