Anyone around have tips for live poker? I'm going to try it out at the casino here in a week or 2.

Hi lil_qp! Welcome to the forum. Here is a link that will help to get you familiar with some of the options that PSO has to offer. Here is a good thread for you to look at, especially post # 2 that I made in the thread. It's the information that I give to everyone that wants to start playing live. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Tip 3 from JWK's post in the other thread is so important. A lot of regulars will also only look when it is their turn, so you'll be able to identify the people who are, at the very least, competent at the game.

If you're playing small stake cash ($1/$2) be prepared to be patient. I sometimes play £.5/£1 live and go a long period of time being card dead. Just wait for your cards and punish the Calling Stations when you hit the nuts or close to the nuts. Locate the Regs and stay clear of them. Target the fish - there will be loads of them to exploit.

Take enough for 2 or 3 100BB buy ins if you're playing cash. That way, if you take a bad beat for your first 100BB stack, you're able to buy into the game for another 100BB stack. Get it in good and pray that the fish don't bink the river!!

Oh, and stay away from Roulette :P
