  • round up or down?

    ok so strange question.

As the blinds go up in a live tourie they remove the lower denomination chips.

So say for example they take all the 100 chips off the table. what do they do if you have 13300 chips?

    thanks

Hey grade b! They color up any even amount of them, then all the odd chips, all players get one card per chip, highest card gets an extra chip of the next higher denomination. Unless, say, when they take the 100's off... the next lowest is 1k chips. If there are say 13 odd black chips, then the top 2 cards will get a 1k chip. Hope this helps!umbup: John

Im a nit and like to be around when they do it too.
Caught them shortchanging a guy once and have mad it a habit ever since.
Also cuts down on regs slipping extra chips into their stacks during the breaks and yes I have caught that before.

In order to speed the process of chipping up, a lot of Casinoes have taken to the practice of not "chip racing", but rather paying anyone a full value chip of the higher denomination.

            Example:

They are coloring up the green 25's.

If you have 1 to 4greens, you get 1 black 100.

If you have 5 to 8 greens, you get 2 black 100's.

            9 to 12 greens, you get 3...

            ETC.
