  • J'eet yet? and other sayings..

I arrived in Tunica, MS around 11 in the morning on Thursday..Standing in the Check- In line, (all gussied up in my new outfit), I was gonna check in, and try to sneak up on some unsuspecting PSO'ers in the 'Shoe poker room. But NOOOOO. Out of no where comes a HI NEW JANE greeting, and I turn to see none other than TORAX. Well, it was so nice to see him that my sneaking up idea fell by the wayside. He gave me a quick run down of the happenings so far while the check in lady told me no rooms til 12:30, so I left my baggage with someone named Bah and headed with TORAX to the poker room where I got into a game pretty fast, and just decided to pretend I was a queen holding court and let them come to me LOL. And of course, the fun began. I soon saw Indy Bob and WildBill..( rumor had it they partied a BIT the night before and were in the room R-E-S-T-I-N-G as was ZIPMAN. Not long til I saw SPIEGEL, and I do know for sure that was the LAST time I saw her the entire trip. Now, I am not sure if she just sorta spinned off into orbit with that big hat, or if she were abducted by aliens, but she never did surface again. Sorry I missed you, Ruthie.

Trying to remember everyone I saw that time: Buschman was busy in a game so we waved Hi to each other, Ranger Rick stopped by and introduced me to his GF, and I teased him that he better leave GF's home next time so as not to cramp his style! Truthfully, tho, she seemed to be a very nice lady and it was nice to meet her. ZIPMAN finally surfaced...and the next thing I knew, it was time to go check in and make my way to SAM"S ToWN for the PSO tourney. For some reason, I didn't give myself enough time getting my car out of Valet and driving through the cotton fields, and I was almost late. Thank goodness the guys made them wait, cause what on earth would be the purpose of a PSO tourney without NewJane I ask you. We dispensed with the formalities and I presented IndyBob with a very very lovely poker vest I had sewn with my own two hands, and the last time I saw it, he was holding it over the Mississippi river threatening to drop it AND jump in himself if I made him wear it. Oh well.

The Sam's Town tourney was somewhat of a blur what with arriving late AND Bob deciding my vest was not worthy of his manly chest. I know I met GoBama, and GoBlue (bless his heart I had trouble remembering him but Hey,I met 100 guys in January....if I forgot one, don't hate me!!), Joybell, STRICKY, D.A.Bree ( well, I had met her a bit earlier at a bar somewhere...sipping a cold one with IndyBob )

It was nice to see old faces as well: Sailor Moe, Idoru99,Todd21, Big Bo, Buschman, Res Ispa, And MANY new ones: Kaelaine, Nashville, Buncher, Blaeux35,Zeroth, Highway 1, ( more on him later ) Hunter, Iceman, AcesUp, TJRamsey,
Hold'em 101,Trumpin Joe. Hopefully I covered everyone. I know Aces Up won the PSO tourney...and we had 2 PSO'ers at the final table. And I can see the other one in my minds eye....yellow shirt...sittin there. Someone help me with a name please!! EEEKS please forgive me in advance. That is the danger of trying to remember every name, but hey, everyone likes to be remembered. Which makes my memory lapse even more mortifying!!

I busted out pretty early when my pair of 8's ended up being the worst of three hands on the flop with three of us all in. The Flop was 5-2-2...and my 8's took a back seat to 2-6 on the blind and 5-5 for some lady. Ah well.

In the second part of the report, I will tell you more exciting news from Tunica, including how to LOSE $2400 at one time.

Actually, several women told me that Bob was seen in the casino several times wearing nothing but the vest and a set of leather chaps. This traumatized them to such an extent that they were forced to refuse my advances.

Yeah. That must be the reason.
