Do NOT look at your hole cards until the action is on you. Instead keep your focus on the other players and how they react to their cards.

As for hiding tells...I'm never going to be capable of being Joe Stoneface at a poker table,it just ain't me. So I take the opposite approach and try to act a little schizo at the table (OK...it's not really an act...) so in essence I'm kind of "false-flagging" the other people at the table. Or at least I hope so. What you're really going to want to look for is whether or not players seem to be acting against you as if they DO have a read on you and whether or not their actions are correct based upon that possible read. THAT'S what you need to be worried about. If no one is taking any type of consistent action against you then you're probably mixing things up well enough to keep them on their toes and off balance.

Just be as relaxed as possible and have fun. That's really the best approach. A more relaxed player exudes more of an air of confidence than an uptight, generally miserable type of behavior.

I just seen this I live in Tampa Florida and there is a Hard Rock Casino 15 minutes from my
house. I went last night I normally play in a multi table
tourney but didn't know how long I wanted to stay so just played a cash game 2/4 blinds I bought only $100 in chips and left with over $400. It took me about an hour n a half to win. I won most on one hand I had pocket kings I just called the big blind raised $20 I raised to $80 he called so I knew he was weak because he was at table when I got their and had 5 times my chips flop was king ace 10 he goes all in I had $234 so I call his heart was broke when he seen my cards. I still had to hold breath during turn and flop but won over $400.After that I went back and forth so I took the money and ran.. I go every weekend I normally play multi tables so next weekend I will take some pics I have some old ones now but will get recent ones. PS 7 out of ten times I make it to final table and normally top 5

I'm going to play the LAPT Peru this coming week! I won a seat to a qualifier via a 3x turbo rebuy satellite and managed to get a seat to the event. I wonder if I can repeat the Moneymaker story...
