  • Tunica - Autumn Classic

I'm just back from 6 days in Tunica for the Autumn Classic Poker Tournaments at the Horseshoe. I believe this was a last-minute attempt to attract some of the folks who had planned to attend the cancelled WSOP Circuit Event in Biloxi.

My results were fairly positive on this trip:

    > top 4 in a $120 multi-table satellite to win an entry to the $1000+$60 NLHE tournament (51 players; final 4 got seats, 5th & 6th got a little cash).
    > 4th in a $175+$25 "Second Chance" NLHE tournament (98 players, paid 9 places).
    > 2nd in a "Redeye" (4am) $50+$15 NLHE tournament at the Goldstrike (35 players, paid 7).
    > near miss: went out 12th in a $175+$25 "Second Chance" NLHE tournament that was paying 9 places. There was a raise in front of me by the big stack at the table who had been playing marginal hands. I had QQ and moved all in - he called with A9 suited and caught an Ace.

I'm looking forward to my next chance at a WSOP Circuit Event, which will probably be the January event in Tunica. They were passing out the schedule, which is as follows:
