  • Sandtrap's FR Challenge

    What's FR???? .... LOL
The only time I play FR, is in a tournament
Haven't played FR cash in about 3 years

I'll be taking the Opposite Roland Challenge with his same numbers

2NL Zoom: Move to 5NL after winning $20 profit
5NL Zoom: Move to 10NL after winning $50 profit
10NL Zoom: Move to 25NL after winning $100 profit
25NL Zoom: Move to 50NL after winning $250 profit

Will try and post after every sessions

Fantastic Sandtrap! I am quite excited to see how you do. My only advice is there is no need to get fancy on FR zoom, just take them to valuetown!

Best of luck Sandtrap! This ought to be fun

This is getting a bit like 'swinging' now - everyone is swapping partners and trying strange and wonderful new games.

I think its a good move for you Sandtrap - with your skills, its just 60% more opponents at every table for you to beat.

              Good luck

Yes, Just as Roland has pointed out...no need for barreling(although there are some situations where it will have merit) ..take em to value town!

                Good luck and good decisions,

It's great to see another player taking up the challenge of a new game. Good luck with this!

Well my first session is over

What the heck was I thinking playing FR and especially at 2NL....lol

                    This is what I've noticed:
                    - 3-4 players in every hand
                    - Forget about 3x bet, go straight to 35x bet..lol
                    - Keep calling with small pair
                    - you'll definitely get your straight or flush on the river, just keep calling
                    - Position doesn't matter
                    - If I lose, It's only pennies

No wonder people have a hard time playing 2NL

                    So, how did I do....lol
My first session was 880 hands with a huge profit of $1.67 and a BB/100 of 9.49. All this for 76 minutes...woohoo

I then took a 15 minute break and played 50NL and made $51.23...lol

                    Will try another session later

                      Nice start Sandtrap!

Perhaps you should shorten your 2NL sessions and lengthen your 50NL break

                      GL!

Good luck and welcome to FR. I am sure it wont be too long before I see you at NL25 and probably not too long after that you leave me behind and head on up to NL50.
Is this just for kicks or do you think there is any chance you might convert?

To early to say, but I wouldn't think so
FR is to slow for me and since I'm a nit, I like to open up at 6-max
At Zoom, I play more hands at 6-max
But for now, I like the challenge

While I was playing a SnG Mtt 180 man, I open up a 200NL Zoom table to keep me active. I played exactly 1 hour and when done, I had a $383.67 profit
What am I doing at 2NL........LOL

A challenge is a challenge and I will continue though

200NL?! I didn't know you played at those stakes.

It would be interesting to here what your your stats are at 2NL full ring once you get some volume in.
