  • Is a bigger buy in better?

I just noticed if I pay a bigger buy in I have a higher win rate. I think I take the game a lot more seriously if more money is involved. Lets face it it costs you more to lose and the payoff is a lot better if you win. If I have time I watch one of the videos on MTT before I start and that helps too. Still hanging around the forty dollar mark but I think this challenge is really making me more aware of what is going on while I am playing. So many things I never even thought of like putting people on hand ranges and paying attention to who plays every hand and their betting patterns. Just makes you love the game even more. Good luck all, let me know what you think about the buy ins midge

    yes , no , maybe!!!

I always would min buy in in an attempt to lose the least to a bad beat but having read more attended more trainings i now buy in for 100 BB as my standard. I usally have big stack at the tables i play, but 100 bb means i can play more speculative hands like 9T suited and dont just have to wait for TT plus and raise shove the flop.

"theLangolier" has a few videos on stack to pot ratios which will help with this question.
