  • 2013 time vault

    Hi all,

i have been playing about year now but I am a fish, definitely. So the main goal is to improve my play.

    so my goals are:
    MTT:
Play at least 20x $1.10 regular speed each month.
Time to time play $0.55, $1.10 and $1.35 turbo.

    SNG:
16x SNG $1 45man regular. Two tables. I know it is not much but I would need more time that i don't have it right now.

    Cash:
    two tables, $0.01/0.02.
I am not sure how to measure it. I can try 3h per week, so about 12h per month.
If I loose over $10 in particular month, I will stop playing and start another shot another month

    VPP:
All VPP spend on Sunday Storm satt. vpp5+r and try to win the ticket.

    Pokerschool online league:
Qualify to Premier League and stay there

    Bankroll management:
I will cash in $50 every month (if I loosr it, of course) it means $600 this year.

    Improve my play:
read books, articles, memorize hand range (5%/15%/30%), how to cound EV etc.

The goal is very simple. I would like to reach games where buy in is $5 to $11 so the comfortable bankroll I want to reach this year is >$1000 (without cash in anymore). I believe the goal is very high and it is gonna be very difficult....but I'll do my best

I will keep excelll sheet with all my stats and gamse.

      Hi Rogger,

      Welocme to PSO

I like how you set your ambitions high and just think one big cash in a $1.10 MTT could set you up for a few months

Good luck with the challenge, hope you succeed in all your goals.

I have a question about this thread and this forum:
This thread should be updated regulary, i got it. If I wanna discuss my hands form HandRepleyar, should I put those hand to this thread also or create a new one?
        thanks

              Hi Rogger1996,

Good luck in the challange, I have simular question to you as in what should i put where,

I tend to put reflection on how a particular week went or How i feel in a blog, mostly information that i do not want replies on on the whole.

Then in the thread I put intresting hands (some good some bad) questions about play and few updates on how the week went.

you can read though a few peoples threads to get a feel of what others are doing.

              Hope that helps,

Hey Rogg, sorry for asking but... is it worth starting up with 3 different games such as MTT, SnG and Cash all together?

I personally wouldn't do it as I think I would get confused by studying 3 different ways of playing, but that's me, and I'm dense, but good luck to you!

it think so. All games are very interesting and do not forget I am playing mainly for fun. All variation of the game are interesting is some way and boring in another one. Switching between them keeps me in the fun mood

I still believe is not the wisest path, but if you're having fun and works for you, keep having fun and give us regular update, I'm curious

MTT games I played first couple of MTT since the challenge started, with no ITM luck I decided to post the hands that didn't go really well and were last hands for me in the tournaments. 1# This happens to me all the time and it is the main difference between online poker and liver poker I believe. In live poker, this does not happen quite often. In the online world, it unfortunately happens all the time I probably should've pushed all in straight away and could take the pot without playing. The rest is a statistic miracle. I am favorite 91% vs 8% (split 1%). he had a 5% chance of hitting a set.. After the flop, the statistic are almost the same, but 8% for me 2# I usually pushed AA, KK and JJ without much thinking about it in turbo tournaments. I am not sure whether it is a good play or not, especially when I still have about 19BB and whole round cost only 240chips. What do you think? 3# This is another think why I am probably a big fish. After the flop, the chance of hitting flush is about 33%. In MTT turbo I think it is a lot and I don't have usually guts to fold my hands. What would you do? All three hands are from: Date Buy-in Speed Players Place Cash 01/18/13 $0.55 turbo 10000 5600 0 01/18/13 $1.35 turbo 9000 3800 0 01/18/13 $1.10 turbo 1011 356 0 I also played two $1 45man regular, I won of it for $12.71. my current bankroll: $23.89

                          MTT

Not much time so I played only MTT:

                          01/23/13 $11.00 regular 833 103 $16.66 0
                          01/23/13 $1.10 regular 2908 65 $4.93 0
                          01/22/13 $1.10 regular 2700 560 $0.00 0
                          01/22/13 $1.10 regular 7000 3100 $0.00 0

I accidently registered myself into $11 buyin instead of my $1.10 Fortunately I did everything to finish ITM and I did earn me six dolars.

Also today finished 65th in $1.1 buyin. Unfotunately for me, I was loosing internet connection in last 20hands For example I got pair of jack's but when i hit all in, nothing happen, just connecting window pop-up pitty...

Pokerschool league. I started toady on rank: 3000 and I already tought I have no chance to reach Premier league this month. But I finished once 300, earn me 60points and moved me to 2000. Excelent.

                          current bankroll: $29.90

it might surprise you - but the JJ hand - QQ+ would be my defualt range against an unknown.

just watched the hand a6 push for 37bb,s - although he showed up weak, think what range you would be pushing from there - you said yourself you push AA-JJ - So your JJ would be crushed (if) he played the same way!! I,d 100% snap call if i had 15bb though.
