  • Letterman's Mercury Orbit

Finished the first challenge - 20 games in a week - did not make a single point in last 11 games and finished with 156 points. This week's leader has 567 points. I should note that the leaders often complete their first orbit on the first day, Sunday morning. May skip next week and do some reading up on strategy.

Check out the training tapes here. There are several on SNG strategy. Been using them a lot on my chip 27-player games. Still having troubles with the aggression part, but then as everyone tells the old hedgehog, play money players react different from cheque players.

I'm curious to know. I've done 90 orbits so far. How do my findings compare to yours?

1 ---- Maniacs during the first round. Usually have 9 players eliminated in first round.
2 ---- Just one or two crazies after Round Two.
3 ---- Final table no later than the end of Round Four.
4 ---- Bubble by Round Six.
5 ---- In the money by end of Round Six.
6 ---- Anyone with more than $10K at end of Round Two sits out until the money.

      What games are you playing?

I've made the low orbit once but the high orbit several times playing 6 max.

To make the low orbit you need to place very high in a few games, playing 45 man and 90 man STT's is the way to go imo. If you're playing 6 max then you should just concentrate on a positive ROI and not worry about leaderboard places.
