you will not get 50% ITM a good ITM will be like 15% to 25% , with a field of 360 it is more likely your ITM will be from a 12% to 18% range
I would be happy with a 16% to 18% ITM anything over that and I would be very pleased
thats for a standard field of 360

another way to look at it you always have a 1 in 360 chance of being in 1st place

Ok Chris i'll keep in mind (12%-18%) as standard and 1/360 to win the game.umbup: I'll try to double the standard just to keep my standard game tighter because i have a tendency to play around and leak some chips.

ok cowboy is ITM at 23% one of the highest I have seen
          cowboy is 19honu62
one of his students is also running at 23% ITM
          however they are playing 45 + 90 man s+g's
          so 1 in 45 or 1 in 90 for 1st
45 man is 7/45 for ITM ... 7 places pay
90 man is 12/45 for ITM ... 12 places pay
360 man is 36/360 for ITM .. 36 places pay
          .
          .
one of my friends plays only 90 man s+g's
90 man s+g's pay off twice as nice as 45 man s+g's
yet the field is not so large that its really difficult to place
          .
.180 man and higher are harder to beat
but the higher the number of entrants typically the greater the payoffs
          .
          .
now you were playing 6 man s+g's earlier
          I think
          that inflates your ITM
1 out of 6 chance for 1st place
360 man you got 1 out 360 chance to be first
          .
          .
          however
you have a good thing on your side
you are watching spacegravy videos correct ?
          .
          .
if you are ....ask yourself when deciding to play a hand
          what would space gravy do
          then act accordingly
          .
          .
a lot of pros are turning profit at 15% ITM
          that is rather difficult
typically they play a range of buy ins
such as $10.00 to $250.00 buy ins
so a hit on $250.00 buy in recovers lots of losses from $5.00 and $10.00 buy ins
          .
          .
micro stakes guys tend to play 1 or 2 levels
which means a micro stakes players needs to be 16% to 22% ITM
unless the micro stakes is a large field such as 360 man
          .
          .360 man 10 cent buy in 1st place = $6.80
thats hmmmmm 68 buy ins ?
so you must win 1 per 68 to break even
          a 10% ITM would be 7 wins per 68
          a 20% ITM would be 14 wins per 68
          ok ok 6.8 wins
          as I said 7 wins
lets look at a mix of wins

          6.80
          4.86
          3.66
          2.75
          1.87
          1.45
          1.13
          0.81
          0.61

          thats 1st through 9th
so lets say you play 90 games and win a 1st through 9th once each
          90 games times 10 cents = $9.00

          1st thru 9th = $89.28
as you can see its tough to turn a profit at 10 % ITM
          .
          .
          my advice
          hmmmmmmmm
well boku87 did start with the 10 cents 360 man
but they now have 25 centers and 50 centers
          .
          .
If I had the bank for it I would start by playing nothing but 25 cent 90 mans
I would also watch spacegravy videos once per cweek or twice per week
Also I would try to maintain 4 s+g's running at one time with a goal of 12 to 20 s+g's per day
          .
          .
          thats just me
hope this helps to let you see this in a different light
          .
          .
if not you can all go to @#$#$%%%^&&&^^%$%$##
          .
          .;

          .
          .
          .
          .

Ok Chris i got your point, that the bigger the field the tougher it gets. I choose the 360 to simulate the variance of the the regular tourney. I'm taking this challenge to improve and sharpen my game not to build my bankroll but if it does it's a bonus. I want to build my confidence which i think is lacking on my game but not to be over confident. It's a long month challenge so 5-10 Games per day as i have a regular job almost everyday but sometimes i can snick in 1-2 games while at work I agreeumbup: with a field of 360 it is more likely your ITM will be from a 12% to 18% range. Wish me Luck

Got a bad starts I multitable it with 4-5 tables up. 1st 10 with only 1 cash (16th place) for $0.35. I'll try two table at a time since it's a month long challenge and hope i can recover. Wish me luck.umbup:

Playing 360 man s+g's means your ITM will be less than 18% typically . It will be more like 12% to 16% . I think that may be normal for playing only fields of 360. I would say go ahead and play 4 at a time . Every time you bust out one reload another. The thing is the payoffs playing a 360 should be greater than if you were playing a 45 man . for that reason you should be happy with 10% plus in the money. Knowing that you may have to play 100 or more to turn a profit I would continue playing four or more at a time.
After all playing 100 S+G's of 360 man and placing 18% ITM means that you only place in the money 18 times. That means you will lose 82 times. I would try to do it more rapidly as long as I felt I was playing correctly.

......You had a 4th place for $2.75 and now a smaller win out of 10 for $0.35 . Thats a total win of
about $3.10 which means if you have played under 31 of them you are showing a profit.
                  .
                  .
When you post progress maybe state total played
                  Starting Bank
                  Ending Bank
                  Number of S+G's played
saying you won 35 cents when previously you won $2.75 yet its not mentioned confuses the issue.

The $2.75 was won last year while he was practicing for the challenge, and therefore can not be counted in the challenge. umbup:

                        $2.50 - $1(10 Games) + $0.35 (from ITM 6th place)
