  • To Blog or to forum post.

Ok, I'm sure you guys can tell i'm a forum novice. Truth is this is the only forum i ever read or post to. The same is true for Blogs but in reality I don't read blogs, to me a blog is a diary which is why i started mine. I read somewhere about keeping a poker diary (which i don't do ).

So I'd like to Improve as a forum member, and to do that i need to learn.

So thoughts on what is the difference between a blog and a forum posting?

And what is the value of doing both.

    Thanks guys

(have to say i enjoy reading the replies (especially the ones that total disagree with the way i think, helps me open my eyes and so my game.)

Shirshot has a good point here. Sometimes a thread can be started off with good intentions and through nobody's fault it becomes totally off topic. I enjoying both posting in the forum and blogging. In a way it makes me accountable. If I state that I'm going to take on a challenge for example there's a much better chance that I'll see it through to the end if I'm after posting about it in a forum or blog. Other than that I just enjoy the social aspect of it. Raiser umbup:

In Theory could you not hijack a blog by using the comments section?

Only to a point Grade, Most external blogs have a function where a comment must be approved by the blogger before it is visible in the public domain. At PSO there are some technical restrictions in place also whereby for example: 1. Maximum of two comments from the same member for any one article. Raiser umbup:
