  • Ed's December Cowboy's Challenge

I am going to start with $0.25 games this month, trying to get away from the Turbos and take it a bit more leisurely. Might be a mix of 45 and 90 player versions.

    Opening Bankroll 25 x $0.25 - $6.25

    Good luck all

    4 Time Bracelet Winner

My first challenge game of December is up and running, I've gone for the 90 player $0.25 game.

I'm not sure how many of these I've played before, must have tried a few at some point but no notes so am treating it as starting from scratch at this format.

Starting bankroll $6.25 - target $12.50 over 100 games (so need to win $25 from 100 games, which is actually 4x my starting BR - no wonder it is tough!)

        T-No - Finish - Buy In - Prize - BR
        T477640174 -13th - $0.25 - $0.00 - $6.00

Unlucky 13th - bubbled in my first tourney of the challenge. Put my last chips in ahead preflop with Ax got beat by QT. TBH I was a bit too nitty.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 144 hands and saw flop:
        - 7 out of 19 times while in big blind (36%)
        - 1 out of 18 times while in small blind (5%)
        - 6 out of 107 times in other positions (5%)
        - a total of 14 out of 144 (9%)
        Pots won at showdown - 2 of 4 (50%)
Pots won without showdown - 3

Two big pots won at showdown with KK (hit full house & trebled up) and QQ (flopped set of ladies versus set of jacks and stacked them off), 3 small pots. Almost enough to get ITM after 2 hours. Good learning experience.

        Long way to go

        Good luck all

Ah well, at least I managed to pay for that 1st game through the other one I had running at the same time. These $0.10Facebook tickets come in handy.

2 done - they take a while - about 2hrs+ to the cash bubble.

            T-No - Finish - Buy In - Prize - BR
            T477640174 -13th - $0.25 - $0.00 - $6.00
            T477727881 -18th - $0.25 - $0.00 - $5.75

Still a bit nitty, and failed to get much action for my raises when I did make moves

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 102 hands and saw flop:
            - 6 out of 13 times while in big blind (46%)
            - 1 out of 13 times while in small blind (7%)
            - 4 out of 76 times in other positions (5%)
            - a total of 11 out of 102 (10%)
            Pots won at showdown - 1 of 2 (50%)
Pots won without showdown - 8

            Good luck all

I was in a couple off each the other day 45 and 90 man, when looking at my notes from both I noticed that players in the 45 man's all had loose donk notes, players in the 90 tight beware notes. So it come to my attention tag players play 90 man and loose players in the 45. I can pm a few notes on the better players in the 45 man later if it helps.

              Good luck

3 done - they seem to be getting slower - 3hrs to the final table. Got my first cash - only $0.76 but leaves me just about level after 3, and I was 12 of 12 when the bubble burst so did improve at the end to finish 8th T-No - Finish - Buy In - Prize - BR T477640174 -13th - $0.25 - $0.00 - $6.00 T477727881 -18th - $0.25 - $0.00 - $5.75 T479254729 - 8th - $0.25 - $0.74 - $6.24 During current Hold'em session you were dealt 192 hands and saw flop: - 8 out of 27 times while in big blind (29%) - 2 out of 25 times while in small blind (8%) - 4 out of 140 times in other positions (2%) - a total of 14 out of 192 (7%) Pots won at showdown - 2 of 3 (66%) Pots won without showdown - 14 Had aces twice, no action first time, second hand picked up a pot then got a nice pot with a lucky QTs beating an ace, missing the flop but hitting runner, runner for a boat Good luck all Ed from Edinburgh - EdinFreeMan
