  • is this a bad beats or is it just my time to loose

This is ongoing for a week or so every AA, KK, almost every premium hend I loose, it's driving me crazy and what the worst part of it is when i get AA, KK I'm realy considering to fold that hand if someone move all in. How do you overcome this kind of thinking, I mean I'm starting to loose my confidence.

    Hi Spedy1028

In spots like this an early postion raise followed by a string of callers, your best line in to keep it simple and move all in. Your 3b of 300 is way too small as it gives everyone already in the pot good odds to continue regardless of their cards. Your action helped create this situation unfortunately. I would normally size my 3b about 3x the original raise plus 1x for each caller. However, that would make your 3b around 700 chips which is more than half your stack. So, moving all in is your best option. This puts the most pressure to fold on the opponents. Hopefully, most players will fold as big pairs do best against fewer opponents.

      Hey Spedy,

As Roland already said, I think shoving here is the best option. By time it was your turn, the pot was already 570. So when everybody folds to your shove and you don't get any action, you still increase your stacksize with more than 40%, which is huge).

I think most people here know the frustating feeling when your Aces or Kings get beaten, however you can't do much about it. Just forget it and move on, it's poker. Every starting hand can be beaten and in this case you were favorite to win this hand, however only by 73% (73 vs 20 vs 7). A lower pocketpair wins 1 out of 5 times against a higher pocket pair statistically.

Always try to play your best game and don't be afraid to raise big with Aces or Kings, so players don't call you with crap.

      Goodluck on the tables

        I agree with the others.

The problem that the smaller bet causes is that the player with 22 now gets priced into the pot. They only have to put about 1k chips into a pot over 4k... this gives them the correct odds to stay, so they expect to gain chips by calling.

If I immediately shove here, then the opp does not get the correct odds and will expect to lose chips by calling.

Yeah,it has to be that. Couldn't possibly be that they're getting almost 4-1 on their money to call with QQ.
