  • i dont like how i get my cash taken

hi, im relatively new to pokerstars but ive been playing poker since i was about 14 and now im 18 so i have quite a few years experience, and id love to know why i keep going bust, my bankroll never seems to last on this site due to the fact that i keep getting flops i cant get away from and getting beat by morons who shouldnt even have no business to enter the pot with such as 8 2 os and 3 7 s and 26, 8 3 and so on.

i cannot get my head around this, ive even tried playing the same style these idiots are playing, and when i do im up against players who have aa ak aq qq jj just like i do when i get beat by bad holdings and so on and they hit there hands.

im far from being a whiner in life as im normally a happy chappy but this site is starting to get me depressed over the bs im seeing. and before anyone says that im not playing the game correctly then all i can say to that is i do but when ur getting beat by idiots who play just about any 2 cards then something isnt right and it doesnt feel right.

id like pokerstars to show me evidence that the rng is fair because i feel it isnt just with the amout of quads ive seen in aout 4 weeks of being on here

Hi nemesis0310! Without the exact situations, there's no way to tell. Stack sizes, bet sizes, opp tendencies, etc all need to be taken into account, in order to see if a hand is played well or not. Without this information, there's no way to say one way or the other. Here is a link to the RNG page from PokerStars. The integrity of the games is a subject that PS takes VERY seriously and the rng has been certified by an outside source (Cigital). On the other hand, there is plenty of bad play by the bade players and we need to realize that every hand is going to lose a given % of the time. Those bad players are where our profit comes from. Good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

The answer is that JWK would prefer to keep his money and make his own fiver ***deleted***

Search the forum and learn. Attend the training and learn. Read some books and learn. Play a LOT more than you have to date and learn.

Because at the moment you are exactly what you say you're not. ***Deleted*** And we've heard it all a thousand times before.

just try to improve and use strict bankroll management

when we are runnign bad or playing bad we tend to look for excuses but I can assure you Pokerstars being the biggest site making 100000's every week would not risk losing it by fiddling a RNG infact lets say they did fiddle who do they fiddle it versus and why?

I use dto think it wa rigged had convinced myself but as its online lot s mor e hand get dealt per hour and especailly at the low buyins peopel play loose and some even reckless (and make so many mistakes myself included) and yet 27o should win around 13 times out of every 100 against AA and when it doe syou remember it...this is over 1 in 10

all the other tiems where JJ beat 77 you dont remeber it as clearly...or your Ak beats AQ(here Aq shoudl win 1 in 4)

They do not fix it against you they win no matetr what in tournament fees and rake

Ive highlighted in blue my main part of my answer

maybe if you are better than these fish you currently play with, why not move up to higher stakes where there will be more players on your skill level

Before each hand is dealt the actual deck is not just shuffled.. It is shuffled and then generated card by card (One random card removed and set aside.. then another to join it.. and so on until a new 52 card deck is generated)

Every action of the generation of a new deck, Is logged prior to the first card being dealt for security reasons So that any occurrence outside of the pre recorded card order would be completely transparent..
Each new deck is only used for one hand, Before being discarded and regenerated for the next hand, And each player dealt cards also exercises free will as to their actions within a hand.
Also random samples of these decks and hands are provided to an outside third party for analysis, Along with the actual source code for the RNG.
So not only would it be unlikely that the Stars would want or need to risk a billion dollar industry (for all of the reasons listed above by rolo)
It would also be near impossible for them to do so, Without it being discovered by an independent third party company responsible for analysing the integrity of rng's etc worldwide.

To quickly address your point about people being In hands with cards they had no right being in there with.. Well however much we may dislike that sometimes, that's just simply not true, We can all play whatever hands we want whenever and however we want to. That does not mean it is optimal play, But we are all entering games with our own money so we all have an equal right to choose for ourselves how we play it, And there is no site rule that states "you must only play hands your opponent approves of, And in a way that makes them happy"

Granted it can feel rough as anything when short term variance takes it's toll.. But it really is just that.. And I can suggest with some confidence, That every other person who has read and or responded to this thread, Has been through similar experiences to yours at their tables.

It is actually part of the beauty of poker.. That once we remove ourselves from worrying about the outcome of any single hand, Which we played correctly but still lost.. And start to look at patterns over larger sample sizes and over longer periods of time, That this is actually a big part of what contributes to our understanding of the game which then takes us a step closer along that never ending quest to master it.

Let the fish.. Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming.. Try not to bang on the tank and scare them away. And if you find yourself feeding a few, Don't sweat it, because before you know it you will be looking over at a nice fat juicy fish within perfect reach to munch on. Nomnomnomnomnom

I take issue with this sentiment, A lot of Great poker players work hard to get to the top and then well they are the best right so they stop studying as they have nothing else left to learn?

No of course not that would be ridiculous for a game that constantly changes, some of the Top pros have coaches not to mention have a group of friends that they would discuss poker with.

Given that you are 18 I will assume that you have only been playing Online or in a Casino for under a year, so I'm sure you are not saying that you have seen everything there is to see in a game of poker.

I note you say you keep hitting flops you can't get away from, but given that you know your Opponents have an ability to play any two cards and can show up with 45s to show you a Straight, why are you not using your notes on these players to help you determine your expected Value in betting checking or raising. Then pick the best option. Not that it will work out every time but will give you the best chance.

You say you have been playing since you were 14. so I presume that this was in a Home game somewhere, you probably played with each of these players for a while and some can read them well. In a larger player pool with good players tight players tilted players drunk players , Hand reading becomes very important.

It makes me smile when players show a bluff and then rant at the villain who called. They say things like "how did you call" or "I played it like I had trips". When they really should be saying, Why did I try to bluff a loose/drunk/unawiare player (I'm very Guilty of that at times myself).

It is not just How to play poker we need to learn... but rather...

who do i player poker today on this table with these players in this seat with these players on my right and left. with this stack size and this level and these blinds and a bankroll of x or y.

on and ......well it goes on and on but as you see I hope we should be saying rather than I do not need to learn...What can I learn today.

                      BEWARE I rarely mince words.

In poker you make more off your opponent's mistakes than your own good play. This adage is widely accepted and frequently quoted.

By the statement above, it is highly likely you are making a lot more mistakes than you recognize.

Evaluating one's game properly requires brutal self honesty. When you accept this your game will begin to really improve.

                      Good decisions.

You are 18 so of course you know it all. I knew everything when I was 18 - unfortunately I forgot most of it since. But I am almost 180 now.

I would tell you to get over yourself and get a life - but what you really need to do is just process everything here at this site that will confirm, absolutely - that the poker site is not rigged specifically against you.

And when you have played a million hands or so - correctly - look again at your results and see if you still kept getting beat by morons playing 82offsuit.

Or go and read a book. I recommend D H Lawrence.
