  • 10FPP MTT Tourney Win for $75

I recently used up my 1,000 FPPs (a couple of months back) to rebuild my bankroll from scratch. Having built up around 500 more FPPs since then, I am occassionally playing the 10/20FPP buy in tourneys, and I had a go at one of the 10FPPs this morning. Final hand was a real suck out - opponent had me crushed all in on the flop and I hit my runner runner outs. Believe me that wasn't the first time I got it in bad and won - at least 3 times my KJ came good against Ax hands - but we all know that is often part of what it takes to get a first place in an MTT. PokerStars Tournament #620709652, No Limit Hold'em Buy-In: 10 FPP 2897 players $500.00 USD added to the prize pool by PokerStars Total Prize Pool: $500.00 USD Tournament started 2012/10/04 11:40:00 WET [2012/10/04 6:40:00 ET] Dear EdinFreeMan, You finished the tournament in 1st place. A USD 75.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account. Congratulations! Thank you for participating. That is my biggest single tourney cash win to date - though I don't think it will show up on any of the statistics sites as it was a 10FPP buy-in. Big thanks to all the trainers and fellow players here at PSO who have helped me improve my game - (though it still needs a lot of work!). Cheers and good luck all umbup: Ed from Edinburgh - EdinFreeMan

thanks all, was just looking for my FT suck-outs!! Was seated at the Ft in 4th of 9 - with an average stack - but was card dead so just watched a few small stacks bust out. I was getting pretty short and sitting 5th of 5 when I shoved my first KJ. That gave me parity with all players bar the big stack - giving me a decent chance to continue on and take it down. Seven hands later I look down at KJ again - and this time its soooted.. At 3 handed I get in to the big stack - who doesn't realise KJ is MY special hand - but it doesn't work for other players... and I all but finished them off a few hands later, crippling them and taking a chip lead ready for heads up. Thanks again for the support people. I played another 10FPP tourney - and what cards did I get dealt first hand? I did manage to go on to cash again - but minor PokerStars Tournament #620709653, No Limit Hold'em Buy-In: 10 FPP 4187 players $500.00 USD added to the prize pool by PokerStars Total Prize Pool: $500.00 USD Tournament started 2012/10/04 17:40:00 WET [2012/10/04 12:40:00 ET] Dear EdinFreeMan, You finished the tournament in 111th place. Thanks Bill I should've mentioned another PSOer and Tanker HAPPYSAP was at one of my tables for a while - when we were down from 100 players to 50 odd - I think we avoided getting into pots against each other but there was a definite skill advantage that you see from PSOers in what are pretty much donkfest type tourneys. I suppose the lesson is - that what you learn here can be used to improve your game and move up to higher stakes etc - but it also does give you a better chance even when you start versus 80% shovemonkeys. good luck all Ed

gratified by my big win - I had a bottle of Champers -

(Ok it was cider but its fizzy and has similar effects)

then was in Chewie's training session and got into a $0.02 madness game for fun - with KJernekar at my table and we ruled it.

                            I came 9th of 990 for $0.25

                            a whopping ROI there...
