Just played 6 tables cashed in 3 so just a small profit off $3.28 and happy with the way i have played. Those few days off reading watching videos and not playing much has done me good.

Well done m.bisland.! umbup: I enjoyed your 90-man review with the Langolier this evening. Some good looks at the importance of proper bet sizing. You must be learning your lessons. Good job.

There's a few things I have changed since that game! But watching myself back I was able to see a few things that need changed. Need to stop limping and keep them preflop bets the same! 4 betting with monsters is something people will pick up on. I'll have a few games later and put all I've learnt so far into my game. Fingers crossed ill make a few more final tables.

Tried a few new things like no limping and kept the bets the same heres the results. During current Hold'em session you were dealt 175 hands and saw flop: - 15 out of 34 times while in big blind (44%) - 7 out of 34 times while in small blind (20%) - 5 out of 107 times in other positions (4%) - a total of 27 out of 175 (15%) Pots won at showdown - 4 of 9 (44%) Pots won without showdown - 21 Final hand i needed a double up and told my self any ace ill push this is what happened. With some great advice from my review by The Langolier i managed 3rd place. Thanks dave looking foward to my final table review next week

The total % looks ok, 'other position's is a little low, but if you're not getting cards, that can happen easily. The number that I'd look at is the 'pots won at showdown'. 4 of 9 will normally not get you a tight table image (unless you keep running legit hands into monsters).... I try to aim for 75-80% with it.
The higher you can get the showdown %, the more effective your steals will be, as people will give your hands more credit than some of them deserve. The lower that % is, the worse and worse hands they'll call with, because they will think you don't have the best hand, since you're losing your showdown hands.

If that's the case, then I'd take a look at those other 4 and see if you should have bet the flop/turn or river, to try and take the hand down (if everyone checked the flop, I'd sometimes try a bet on the turn to see if you can take it down then. Even if you get raised and have to muck, that can be better than showing a loser at showdown). The higher you can get that %, the better off you'll be in the long run.
