  • What is it with some people and holding a pair?

Not strictly a bad beat.. folded to idiots, possibly even more annoying... chechurro22 had mostly been a loose passive chump, and DedaBase mostly tight and passive.. but the speed they were calling / raising my bets, by the turn I figured that at least one of them had maybe trips or 2 pair so I folded.. I shouldn't have..

at that level of limit, people will stay with anything. I'd take my chances (will lose some but win in the longterm.

Do you mean you'd recommend calling?

I guess it is to be expected at this limit as you say. The flip side of course is when I know I have the nuts these guys pay me off

At larger limits, you know you're most likely beat and need to muck. at that level, since the play is so bad, you beat alot more marginal hands, so I'd stay (unless I had a read on the opp that told me they were a good player).

          got it, thanks.

I knew both players were weak..
The pot was so big it was worth taking the chance

I really believe the .08 min-reraise on the turn is what cost you the pot and had you shoved all-in there, what with the draws and all...

Edit: Just realised, it must me a limit game, can't delete it, ignore

What JW said Tom. Without a specific read I'm never folding AA to that board in .02/.04 FLHE. Way,way worse hands will call you all the way down. Welcome to the Forum. umbup:

food for thought. the pot is 88c on the turn, 8c for you to call!! sick pot odds you are getting with the top of your range AA. there are so many other hands that you have dominated in that situation. this may sound silly, but even if you feel you are beat in a situation like that just take a line of check/call the next time you have AA, more times than not your opponents are going to be crushed.(but intuition tells me..well ya know......sigh lol) based on the flop action, all bets where capped to 8c, that is a huge clue as to what people have, it usually indicates that they have a pair. Especially the guy in the SB he leads out and bets/caps etc... gl at the tables

lol... I dont play limit holdem, it seemed like a cheap call on the turn and river playing limits compared to no limit.
