    my case i wouldnt even called with 44 preflop, its a group 3 hand and you have to put at least 1/5th of your stack in. Seems you have an average stack with close to 20 BB so no worries.

    Three of a kind 4's is a nice hand to play, I would of gone all in as well. these things happen, in the long shot you will win more times then you lose.

          I like how you played it.. they gave you ridiculous odds to call, you got your money in with the best hand and got majorly sucked out on...ignore all the fold pre nits lol

            8k into a 50k pot, I'd have called with 4/4 pre-flop too. Even if you fold after the flop you still have 15 odd BB's.

            Well played, just (and this is said far too often in Poker) very unlucky..

              I would not have called pre-flop. Too many entered the pot with 4x raise (!). I do not believe that 44 is that strong after all. Post flop given the line you took I would have done the same and shove it all.

                  @Roomik

                  Meh,M is 7.66. I'm not sold on the idea of set mining by putting another 16% of my stack in the middle. And OOP to boot. 16% of my stack more isn't nearly the range I like to set mine on personally. Not a terrible call pre and I can see the logic in it both ways but a very sticky call here IMO. Not as sticky to fold to me and that would have been my play personally.

                  @Dennis

                  Not shove post flop? Are you wearing that chainmail hat too tight or what? 100% auto-shove post. He hit his dream flop and has over 20% of his stack in the middle already. When in the Blue Hell would you advocate putting your chips in the middle if not here?
