How come the bad play seems to get rewarded more than correct play ?

mathematically it doesnt, just seems like it sometimes though. earlier in the turney im currently playing was being annoyed by loose donk. seems to be getting lucky all the time. i was playing pretty tight , i had aq. he was out of position and raised 6x. flop was a 9 2. he c bet the pot, i called. turn was j. he pushed i called cause i knew he could have anything which he did. . he had a 8. river was an 8. go figure.

this idiot should have known i had an ace by the way i was playing. if so why push with an 8 kicker??

makes u wanna reach over and slap em out of their chair.

      cheers. j.

another thought i wanna share. in a tourney, unless youre getting blessed with awesome hole cards constantly, or hitting on the flop regularly right away, you have to take some risks and that could knock u out.
however by not doing so you can end up with a relative small stack quickly (within an hour of play) so that its not worth playing many decent speculative hands to at least see the flop cause it costs you 25-35% of what u have left to do so. then ur stuck between a rock and a hard place.
in pso, push and hope to double up (my preferance) [which i just did w/ a9 having 4bb left, caller had q9, cards were 73j9q], or chill on the clock and hope you dont loose any points before getting blinded out. decisions, decisions......

        gl j.
