Hi all, First off, I have to says this PSO league play is a great idea. I started player Texas Hold-em regularly after watching Joe Hachem win the WSOP. Registered at different online site, played there til they no longer allowed USA members to play. That is when I found PokerStars.net, I played almost everyday, for months. I was winning play money sit-n-go's regularly. Then, one day I came across a live league called World Tavern Poker, so I registered. I attended my first tournament that same night at the local bowling alley, There were about 50 players there, I didn't know anyone, felt kinda outta place. But when I sat down at that table for the first time I knew exactly what to do. Then, next thing I knew I was heads-up at the final table...and I ended up winning. That season I finished ranking 10th in the Philadelphia region, that bought me a ticket into the Philly-NJ Regional Finals. There were 212 qualifiers...I placed 3rd. That bought me a ticket into the Nationals at the Sands in AC, where the winner wins a seat in the WSOP. Needless to say I didn't win, don't even remember where I placed. Final hand I played was AA vs. KK vs. JJ...quess who had the jacks? Hit my set but then again so did the KK's. In the end, the experience of it all made it worth it. That's why I think this league is a great idea, it offers us players a chance to improve our game, which in turn, raises the competition level. So stick with it, we learn something new everyday.
