Well, I'm off to Vegas in about 8 hours for the PSO Tour stop. Vegas was my home for 6 years, from late 1998 until late 2004, and there are times that I miss it. It's been 2 years since I was in Vegas, and the last trip was good to me. Out for the PSO Convention, I final tabled the $540 Orleans Open NLHE event for a nice payday, and booked a very nice margin in the cash games, coming away from the trip heavily on the plus side of the ledger. Unfortunately I couldn't make it out last year at all, with the wife getting pregnant with triplets. We just celebrated the boys 1st birthday. This first year of their lives has been a whirlwind. Chaos often reigns in our house. I've worked extra hours between the day job, teaching poker, and playing to pay for it all so my wife can be a stay at home mom. My world has been a crazy, sleep deprived world much of the past year. And I wouldn't change a thing, because I have the most beautiful 4 boys on the face of the earth (our oldest son is 6). It's ok, you can roll your eyes, but I truly feel that way... it's a feeling I think you just can't know until you become a parent. But it's not been without it's stressors for sure. So I'm looking forward to being reunited with my former home town this next week. Seeing old acquaintances, meeting new PSO members, and playing a lot of live poker. I get in town early enough to play in the final mega satellite being run for the WSOP ME Saturday, a $330 buy in satty, so I'll take a shot in that at getting myself into day 1D. Beyond that, I plan to play a few tournaments and a lot of cash games. I probably won't have much internet access (I really don't care to spend time on line when I'm in Vegas anyway, there's poker to be played), but I intend to keep some notes and post up a trip report here in my blog once I return. Sun and fun, here I come! :-)
