This was posted as a reply to a forum... And I would like to share it here as part of my blog. Since I had not recorded some of my thoughts re: PSO for quite some time. This may worth an entry for December.

Some people made their life in business (Bill Gates), some from rags to riches(Lucio Tan), others from obscurity to limelight (Manny Pacquiao), all in their own field of endeavor. One certainly don't just arrive at some pedestal without channeling at least 80% of their energy into their chosen field. No mañana habit, no lax, and certainly not all luck or the lack of it... There's this thing called passion. And passion is a kind of energy that is derived from almost all of your known chakras... or the energy point (most of the time without knowing). That maybe the reason why after all these years since poker came from obscurity of the underground into the limelight with growing popularity among all walks of life, the likes of Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Tom Dwan, and countless pros are still there gracing every major event. Passion can't be killed. Call it gambling; but it is a gamble which most players now willing to undertake, thanks to "bankroll management". And then there's PSO...
