Hey PSO!  I haven't written a blog in a while so decided to go ahead and make one.  I am still in the process of recovering from my disaster of a shot at 10NL.  I lost $65 during that attempt and currently have won back $40 playing 4NL since.  My progress has been a little slow actually as I have been very busy with school/work.

I was up another $10 at the beginning of this week, but I have hit a downswing!  The last couple of nights have been really rough.  I am 6 buy-ins below 'All-in EV' at the moment!!!  It is nasty!

Still have a long way to go.  My bankroll goal for my next 10NL shot is still $280.  Hopefully it will not take too long once I push through this downswing!

There was some good that came out of all the bad luck this week.  It motivated me to actually sit down and look though my hand histories with my tracking software and look for things to improve on.  It ended up being very productive and I have several points to work on.  The points were:

- Play good draws more aggressively

- 3bet more aggressively.  My value range has been too narrow and my open-raise call range has been too wide/passive.  I also will be working in some more semi-bluff 3-bets into my range while in position.  I will be doing this against all types of players accept possibly 'call stations'.

- My c-betting frequency with AK/AQ when missed flop has been too low in my opinion.  I think having a potential of 6-outs on the flop + maybe having the best hand is enough reason to c-bet very often.  I should really only be giving up of the worst of boards.

Overall my aggression is picking up a noticeable amount after making these changes.  One of the biggest issues with my game was being too tight/passive pre-flop and on the flop.  I am very excited to be making these changes and fully expect to be experiencing some even more action packed and profitable poker from now on!

Thanks for reading and good luck at the tables!
