So I got an email suggesting that I start a blog. Have been thinking about doing one for a while.

So here it is.

I am 29 years old with a degree in Biology. I would like to say that I started playing poker 5 years ago but the "correct" thing to say is that I started poker 5 years ago but only started taking it "seriously" 8 months ago. I can't count the times I've changed the length of "seriously" to satisfy a crippled ego but this time I'm taking it seriously. Seriously.

My girlfriend used to think that poker was just another way for gambling addicts to lose money and in part I'd agree with her. I have had many a booze filled, bankroll destroying, limitless night. A gambling addict continues to do this, does not read into the game and views the game the same way they would view a gambling machine.

Those who see the game for what it really is fall in love with it. They read and reread articles and books, watch videos, analyse every hand they play, get others to analyse their hands and try endlessly to improve their game. They start to think about the game on higher and higher levels. These people are players. I am a player.

I want to go as far as I can go and document my time getting there.

This is my blog. This is my graph so far.

Good luck at the tables.
