Quevedo, a keen surfer from Costa Rica, played all 10 of the Mountain Series events – from the $11 Sugarloaf to the $2,100 Everest – cashing in three. Earlier in the Mountain Series, Doug ‘WCG|Rider’ smashed the record for largest amount of money won in a poker tournament while streaming on Twitch. The high-stakes pro picked up $162,000 in the $700 buy-in tournament to beat Rupert Elder’s record of $125,000 won while streaming a tournament last September.

Last Sunday PokerStars hosted an online charity tournament in association with its global charity partner Right to Play. It was a $2 buy-in, with $1 plus the rake being donated to the charity and $1 going to the prize pool. In the end it attracted 2,077 players, was won by ‘Vinpeter’ from Hungary, and $2,077 was raised for charity. Team PokerStars Pro Online member Katerina ‘katerina289’ Malasidou played and streamed the tournament on Twitch.
