The Main Event created three millionaires after a four-way chop, but the title of World Champion was taken by Belgian player ‘Coenaldinho7’, who pocketed $1,300,000. The coveted Player of the Year title went to Shaun ‘shaundeeb’ Deeb who clocked up 18 cashes – the most of anyone this year.

The number of events spread across the five-day UKIPT Isle of Man festival which is taking place from October 1-4 at the Villa Marina, Douglas. This year the UKIPT is being hosted alongside the PokerStars Isle of Man International Chess Tournament, which runs from October 2-11, making the Isle of Man the world centre for mind sports. In addition to the poker and chess tournaments, there will also be free-to-attend 3D projection and light shows to mark the 10-year anniversary of PokerStars on the Isle of Man running nightly at 8pm until October 3 each evening at the Villa Marina Gardens.

The number of days until the sixth leg of the Brazil Series of Poker touches down in Brasilia from October 9-14. Last year, the BSOP Brasilia Main Event reached almost 900 entries, with Thiago Rachadel emerging as the victor and pocketing the R$1,649,340 first prize.
